I certainly hope the Board is smart enough to realize an "appointment" is not in the best interest of the school district. The public is very frustrated with the shenanigans that have gone on for the last couple of years. The Board should use the election process in an attempt to restore some credibility.

I would love to still be involved; unfortunately I am not and sincerely believe that an election is the only way to make sure that all members of the community have a say.

Mr. Klein, I too absolutely agree that we need election. An election would make it a fair and square to all interested candidates. Furthermore, any person who gets voted in would EARN his/her position on the Board. Appointing someone will be perceived by the public as a favoritism. I hope the Board sees that an election is the only way that the public will begin to trust them again.

I think I'm with you on this one. The cost could be a factor. The County is preparing an estimate to "add on" to the already scheduled November election. We should have it in time for the Thursday night board meeting. If the cost isn't outrageous, a special election would allow the community to choose and would provide added credibility to the person elected. It will probably be a comparably small voter turnout, so those who care enough to vote will have the strongest voice. How's the Cancun sunset????

The only way to go at this point is an election. The public will only view an appointemen as one more attempt on the district/board's part to disregard the community's concerns and further personal agendas.

Mr. Klein,

I too would like to see the community have input on your replacement. I hope you have a full recovery. I may not have always agreed with you on politics, however, would have never wished for you to fall in harm's way either. Best wishes in the future!

Bill, you are right. In this time, we need to have an election.

I think you should so. Give someone a chance of doing something good and help save our schools. Like superintendent Mr.Wayne, said that their was no need to close any school so why are you closing our home schools. I think the president Orozco, just dont give a dame about our childrens shes like Heatley. Leave our schools open and still remember there is more money coming out so just leave the schools alone. One of my kids dont want to go to the new school. I think I'm putting my kids in home school better now you the district will have more empthy seats. HELLO OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE LIKE HOW OUR CHILDRENS ARE ACTING LEAVE THEM IN THERE HOME SCHOOL.
