Driver inattention my ass... Recekless impatience is more like it! I drive that highway often I can't beleive all the stupid drivers who fly around everyone passing like a NASCAR race. It's only about 5 miles of dangerous construction area to deal with, why can't these idiots just cruise with the pack safely for a few miles instead of endangering everyone's safety? I smell another huge lawsuit, and let's hope it is not against the State Highway Department who are desperately trying to improve the Guadalupe Mountain Speedway...

It never fails to amaze me at the insensitivty of some people who make snap judgements about something they have no clue about. "Concerned Resident" has a valid point about that highway but can this individual not take into account that the families and friends of those involved in this accident may read what has been posted? How would Concerned Resident feel if this was a family member and they had to read what some uninformed idiot felt was their right to add a useless commentary on? It is very possible that wind may have been as much of an influence as anything that Concerned Resident is talking about. That area is notorious for wind gusts that can really affect the way a vehicle handles, especially a high profile van. So, Concerned Resident, thank you for your expert testimony and insight to what caused this tragedy. Your input is duly noted. Now, go crawl back under your rock and try to put yourself in the other guys shoes while you review the Golden Rule.

This is sickening. Rick Self is my ex brother in law and I love him and his fiancee, Lisa, dearly. They were on their way to be married, and their injuries were catastrophic. If "concerned resident" had any real insight to the people he is slandering, he would know that both are among the kindest humans born to this planet, and were not engaging in "reckless impatience" in any form or fashion. Our entire family grieves and prays for the woman that lost her life, and prays for her family in this time. Everyone was just in the wrong place and wrong time when a vehicle got blown in to the other lane. The emotional issues they all are dealing with is bad enough without some judgemental fool exhibiting his own variety of "reckless impatience" to promote his own agenda. If you think people drive that segment recklessly on a daily basis, you are probably correct. But you don't have any idea about these individuals, what happened, how it happened, or anything at all about the situation except for an article and picture. Do you know what karma is, "Concerned Citizen"? Perhaps someday you will get to know first hand the pain that goes with stupid fools judging you without any basis in reality. Go, Karma.....
