Give him 10 years behind bars minimum. My children and your children's lives are at risk as long as he has no regard for anyone's life.

Once again it's everyone elses fault for him having this many DUI's....In a way he is correct...it is the fault of every judge who did not hand down a sentence he would understand...It is every lawyers fault that defended him for helping him avoid responsibility....so yes, I can see how it isn't his fault...and gee...he even managed to blame mom and dad for his actions...don't forget he is mentally ill too...wow with all his excuses he should be set free again. This is a prime example that our judicial system has falied.

Delano Vigil lets stop kidding each other here, you have been arrested 22 times for driving DRUNK and you claim no one ever offered you help.

Exactly what do you want for us tax payers to hold your hand and baby you?

Here's my offer of help, you agree to spend a year in prison for every DWI you had and if after 22 years you still can't stay away from the bottle I will personally help you pack your belongings and load some into my trailer and drive you to a relative that can care for you.

But you must spend the entire 22 years behind bars, no time off for good behavior.

Do we have a deal Mr. Delano Drunk Vigil?

By the way I like your middle name, it fits you perfectly.

Lock this guy up and throw away the key. It is just a matter of time before he kills someone or a carload of innocent people.

His judgment has already proven to be poor. I'm sure most repeat offenders don't consider themselves dangers to society.

They also don't think they're stupid, despite being caught doing the SAME THING SEVERAL TIMES.

Also:

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

He sounds like a typical liberal to me.

Waaaa waaaa waaaa, my dad whipped my butte and mom didn't breast feed or hug me enough when I was little.

Waaa waaa waaa, it's all societies fault that I am such a screwed up individual because nobody treated me with kindness or helped me when I was down and out.

Waaa waaa waaa, if the courts had understood I had a problem I wouldn't be in trouble today. Some judge should have sent me to re-hab years ago and didn't so it's all their fault.

Waaa waaa waaa. Yup, sounds like a typical bleeding heart liberal, blaming the world for his problems instead of looking in the mirror and seeing exactly where the problem is. Within himself.

Why does someone ALWAYS turn every topic into a Liberal versus Conservative issue? There is no one here arguing in his defense. He is making lame excuses for his bad judgment just as any Liberal or Conservative does when caught red-handed. Take a break, Whisky, there will be another more politically relevant story appearing soon to fuel your bitterness.

Actually he sounds like the governor of south carolina, and other c street family members. You know, like republicans who want to blame their toubles on the government or on the liberals. But I'm with you, lock this piece of excrement up for the rest of his pickled liver's life. Let him rot in the pokey.

Sounds like this vato is in heavy denial about his condition. Treatment for alcoholics only works if the person is willing to STOP drinking and this vato never mentions he wants to stop, he only wants the heat off. Too bad, I hope the stinking judge throws the book at him. After all, he openly admits to eight DWI's and that happens to be four more than the law allows before having to serve one year for DWI. Book'em Dano.

I personally think the cop that stopped him should have shot him like a rabid dog on the side of the road.

You guys are missing something here. He is diagnosed schizophrenic. As much as people joke about that particular disorder, it is an extremely serious mental health issue, and not an easy one to be diagnosed with.

Nearly half of all people with schizophrenia end up with addiction(s) partly because of the side-effects of the antipsychotic medications they take to alleviate the positive symptoms of the disorder. If you've never known people who are on antipsychotics, you really have no idea the impact it has on their lives.

Yes, he ABSOLUTELY needs treatment, for BOTH the schizophrenia and the alcoholism.

If I was the law in this state this man would be behind bars for the next 20yrs.If they would have started putting him in jail on his first offense instead of a fine,he would"nt be in the mess he is in now.First offense,90 days,2nd 1yr,3rd 2yrs and if they are caught after that,5yrs and rehab.Set up tents in the mountains and have them make small rocks out of big ones.Like that they earn their 3meals a day that the taxpayer provides.A little work and they will learn their lesson.Quit treating them like babys just to get that almighty dollar.Jail time.
