The cops could have picked up Domestic Abuse charges against him for Friday's incident, even without her cooperation.
Those of you getting on her for going back, it isn't always so simple. Try to imagine walking in someone else's shoes before you judge. Prior to doing it, no one ever thinks they would stay in a situation like that, but people do it all the time, even one's you would never think.

How long do these hormones stay present? The test was done a few days after she was beaten.
I don't know for sure, but I'd guess probably until the menstrual cycle returns to normal.

She was charged on Friday and found beaten on Tuesday.
So if you don't know what you are talking about, its best not to start a thread that is headed with an outright lie.
Makes you look ignorant, just sayin
Your ignorant the mom said that she had been beaten for five days....that means at the time she was arrested she had three days of beatings in. Read all or post none!

I know that pregnancy tests work on the presence of certain hormones given off by the placenta...

http://chemistry.about.com/od/chemistryfaqs/f...

... and that these hormones take time to rise to detectable levels, so it only makes sense that as long as parts of the placenta exist, it will take time for the levels of these hormones to drop to an undetectable level (usually as a result of the menses flushing remaining parts out of the woman's system) after a miscarriage.

If you wish to refute what I said, refute it, but attacking the messenger is kinda lame. Usually a sure sign of a lesser mind.

I doubt it, since all of mankind's inventions and theories were put up by "guessers".

Besides, most of my guesses are right :)

That wasn't a "guessing" maybe, it was a "one out of several possibilities" maybe. All of these mention the unlawful termination of another's pregnancy..

Maybe... 2903.01 Aggravated murder.

(A) No person shall purposely, and with prior calculation and design, cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of anotherís pregnancy.

(B) No person shall purposely cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of anotherís pregnancy while committing or attempting to commit, or while fleeing immediately after committing or attempting to commit, kidnapping, rape, aggravated arson, arson, aggravated robbery, robbery, aggravated burglary, burglary, trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present, terrorism, or escape.

Or maybe... 2903.02 Murder.

(A) No person shall purposely cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of anotherís pregnancy.

(B) No person shall cause the death of another as a proximate result of the offenderís committing or attempting to commit an offense of violence that is a felony of the first or second degree and that is not a violation of section 2903.03 or 2903.04 of the Revised Code.

Or maybe... 2903.03 Voluntary manslaughter.

(A) No person, while under the influence of sudden passion or in a sudden fit of rage, either of which is brought on by serious provocation occasioned by the victim that is reasonably sufficient to incite the person into using deadly force, shall knowingly cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of anotherís pregnancy.

Or maybe... 2903.04 Involuntary manslaughter.

(A) No person shall cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of anotherís pregnancy as a proximate result of the offenderís committing or attempting to commit a felony.

(B) No person shall cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of anotherís pregnancy as a proximate result of the offenderís committing or attempting to commit a misdemeanor of any degree, a regulatory offense, or a minor misdemeanor other than a violation of any section contained in Title XLV of the Revised Code that is a minor misdemeanor and other than a violation of an ordinance of a municipal corporation that, regardless of the penalty set by ordinance for the violation, is substantially equivalent to any section contained in Title XLV of the Revised Code that is a minor misdemeanor.

Or maybe... 2903.041 Reckless homicide.

(A) No person shall recklessly cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of anotherís pregnancy.

Or maybe... 2903.05 Negligent homicide.

(A) No person shall negligently cause the death of another or the unlawful termination of anotherís pregnancy by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance as defined in section 2923.11 of the Revised Code.

Or maybe none of the above.

Well lets see, she was arrested on Friday and released. So her beatings could have started when she returned. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. That adds up to 5 days.
So whoever started this thread with the heading they gave it, is the ignorant one!

The law, as I posted earlier, doesn't specify... it simply says "unlawful termination of another's pregnancy". I suspect it would be difficult for a prosecutor to prove especially in a woman with other risk factors.
