I personally know an "artist" from Circleville that has Hep C.
He was doing tats out of his house, but don't know if he is at this present time.
Dude, you get what you pay for. Licensed artist are inspected by the local health department. Is a bargain really worth your health and with a uncured disease like Hep C, you are also putting the health of your family at risk.

I have had tatts done in shops and in homes. People forget that most artists started tattooing in their home. They had to start somewhere. I know a guy right now that is better and cleaner, then any shop in Chillicothe, and has never once made anyone sick. This is a myth about cleanliness. You dont need a health dept to say a shop is clean! I know of a few people that was infected with MERSA in a local shop that was health board approved. I wont put their names out there but its a fact

IT's funny people think who does the best around town but they she really think of the cleaniness of the enviroment because Chillicothe is kinda filthy tattoo artist around here look like they just came out of fukin' cave.Sterilization is important your tatto artist should change that needle in front of you,it should be required.

And when i speak of clealiness being a myth,im refering to "health board approved" businesses. As stated,i know of cleaner artists that shoot in their home. Cleanliness is very important but any enironment can be clean if the artists knows what they are doing

What's wrong with starting a legit buisness? Most true talented smart tattoo artists like most my Old school friends in Col. want to succeed in the buisness and expand. They have that buisness mind set the more knowlege you have the more money you can make as an artist.People around here are fukin' cheap doing it out of a living room on some white trash kids will not get an artist anywhere. It's not all about mixing ink It's how you run a buisness.Which sounds like your in capable of.Have you ever heard of lawsuits,it happens all the time for "tattoo artists" think it's cool to charge cheap shitty tattoo work.

Because Columbus is such a cleaner city? I don't understand what you are getting at, I have lived and spent a lot of time in Columbus and have seen the same stuff go on there that goes on here.

As long as you go to a reputable shop there is nothing to worry about.

Ang being a sealed package doesn't mean anything when it comes to tattooing needles. All of the hardware (piercing forceps, etc) is also packaged. Do you really think they have brand new hardware for each person? No, they should have an autoclave and something that will repackage the item back into a sterile environment until it's ready for use again.

An unprofessional and scandalous person could easily just repackage a needle. I really have no idea why anyone would do that however, needles are cheap.

Its a fact though. They appeared clean to me. I wont put these peoples names out there. Im sure they would if they knew of this site and this topic. Their doctors know the infection was from a fresh tatt, and the doctors know it was Wick Sens. Not slander!

one thing people are forgetting is their are two parts to any tattoo the artists work and the clients aftercare. if one gets a tattoo lets say for argument sake on an ankle and does not cover it up when say feeding chickens the filth of dust, poop, and general bacteria can get in as it is an open wound. then they want to cry the shop did it. if a shop is clean and the artists are strict on their cleaning of bloodborne pathogens then usually its the clients neglegance. i know wicked is clean and sterile some jokers like to create dramma. tattooing by law is considered minor surgery and should be cared for as such.

I'm not defending or anything but could the infections came from them not cleaning their tats correctly?

I've gotten tats from Doodle and know others who have with no issues. I like you, think you have to make sure there is good aftercare. I've always thought he was clean so I will go back.
