I have applauded MOST of what the Mayor has done. He has definitely shaken some people up. The PD is finally working on the drug problem, the FD Fire Chief didn't pay attention and he is now fighting his termination for cause. I see city service employees out doing their jobs for a change.
The worst decision so far was involving the city in the renovation of the Carlisle. The voters have already had their say at the polls, it should be a done deal. Trusting Adena to participate in this PRIVATE venture is a sad mistake and will only result in the taxpayers being drug into a bailout of the fools who currently own the building. I keep hoping that the front facade would finally fall out in the street but I'm concerned about how many would be injuried. The city should have done its job years ago and condemmed this dump so it could have been torn down. Either the insurance company or the family of the little deliquents who set it on fire would have paid for it than.
WARNING, Mr. Mayor. You re-election could depend on how far you drag the city into the problems of the Carlisle. Walk away now, PLEASE!
