this place is not a place to buy a car they give you way less than what your car is worth, then they turn it around and sell it for two times more than what they gave you for it

that is how they make money. The idea is to give you minimal money on trade in, then they mark is high for sell. Then they have wiggle room to work with someone who may want to purchase your old car. Suppose they give you 1500 for your car, they mark it for 3000, then they can settle to sell it for as low as 2000 and still make money on it.

Yeah, I do not work there. I wouldn't be a car salesman ever. I don't really care for the sales line of work. I was just stating the facts that when you trade a car in, you should expect to get less than you should, and that they will mark it up. Its just like a pawn shop. You sell to them for $75 and they price is $200 then sell it for what they can get out of it. Anything over what they pay is profit.

There apparently is a scam running at Norse in their Finance Department also. How else can you explain a loan for a new vehicle in 2004 that still has a balance of $7500.00 today? The loan was through a fly-by-night company and it was sold to an even more fly-by-night company in Kentucky.

The lesson here is you find your own financing before you walk into any dealership or be prepared to be screwed twice. Once when you by the vehicle and the second time when they let them talk you into using their financing. If you can't find your own financing, you had better stay away from any dealership.

Here's another game they play. I took a vehicle in for warranty work that belonged to someone else. They took down my information in addition to the owner's info allegedly since I was the driver. Than I recieve an offer from a company that wants to sell ME an extended warranty ON A CAR THAT I DO NOT OWN. The ONLY place my name and this car are connected is Norse so I know they are the ones who provided (probably sold) my information to this company. I already know these companies are a rip off but, just for curosity, I called them to ask where MY vehicle might be serviced if there was a problem whle it was under their warranty. Guess what? The FIRST place they mentioned was Norse.

Now I'm on someone's junk mail list because I volunteered to do a favor for someone who could not get off work to have their car repaired for a warranty problem.

Just inside the realm of possibility is the following scenario. Perhaps, due to state law, your information was retrieved upon arrival and matched to the vin number of the vehicle being serviced. Based on franchise agreements, the manufacturer of the vehicle is able to retrieve current vin numbers and related names. Be it Honda, Nissan, Toyota, or Ford... I would say that is your information leak.....SO, your info was not sold and you should consider all avenues of possibilty prior to screaming about that which you know nothing.

BULL CRAP! What State Law? My ID was not checked nor was I requested to even sign anything. I simply brought in a letter from the manufacturer that said the vehicle had been recalled and they took it for the required service. I was asked for my name so they could "page me" when the work was finished. I even asked why they needed my address just to be paged and the "computer" was blamed. So you are saying this "warranty" company, WITH NO CONNECTION TO THE MANUFACTURER of the vehicle, that I brought to the dealership, pulls my name and address out of the thin air and sends me a letter trying to sell me a warranty for a vehicle that I do not own?

My final questions are: How much do YOU get paid and does your boss know are stealing the customers information?
