I always stick up for the whole CPD. They're the ones I would call if I were in need of help. I sure wouldn't call a local junkie. So, that being said, I wonder if it wasn't because of some kind of illness. Otherwise, it really is funny. Thank God no one was hurt.

Please - a drug test or alcohol test? Get real. Obviously, you have never worked at a job where you have to be awake all night, maybe after already working one shift. Or maybe you didn't get any sleep because you watched kids all day while your spouse was working. Give the guy a break.

Blood tests should've been given to him like they would have been to anyone else. Sorry but working graveyard shift is no excuse. Maybe it was an incident that only happened because he was over tired, but he should have been given the same sobriety tests and questioning anyone else would have been hounded with.

I have, and I did so knowing the requirements of the job ahead of time, so there were no excuses.

Sooo Freak you are saying that all third shift workers are excused for this type of behavior? I've worked thirds before and had an on job accident occurred I would of been out to Adena doing blood work to prove I was sober. I personally feel it is questionable for one to clip 3cars going 5 miles an hour... And as another already asked Who will be paying for this incident?

"Get real", your damn right. Anyone involved in a motor vehicle crash of that nature should be tested. At a minimum worker comp probably requires testing as well.

If it was a citizen, they would have been cited so why not the cop. He admitted he fell asleep but 1, if he was asleep, how did he know how fast he was going? 2. Hitting a car makes a lot of noise, it took 3 cars to wake him up. 3, there was way too much damage for a 5 mph crash 4. Why should the victims have to pay for their car, did he have insurance? Working 3rd shift is NO excuse, I am sure he was read the requirements for the job when he got hired. Plus any crash he should have had to take slcohol/ drug tests

At 5mph, one car would have had light scratching and a very small dent, at least tell us something more believable. He must have clocked himself in his sleep Lol

If any of you knew who the officer is (not personal friends either) it would be amazing what would be said here on topix. If any one has personal experiences with him (job related) if would be funny to read.

An assumption based on past history and decades of experience with human nature.

pretty sure it was him who drove down the hazard lane on bridge street in rush hour traffic, i was with a friend and started saying how i should follow him since he is supposed to lead by example, five minutes later im getting to the overpass (because of the traffic) before the off ramp and he is pulled over in the yellow lines on the opposite side of the overpass, hit me with expired tags. Only experience ive had

. Guess if you had renewed your plates you wouldn't have been stopped, received a ticket and be running your mouth about this police officer. Lol.
