Yes, he was arrested. However, the grand jury ruled he acted in self defense. He is out of jail the charges were dropped. The story is in the Waverly Watchman's Sunday, June 29th edition.

There was a police shooting on Fields Hollow Road, Peebles, Ohio. A young man around age 27 was apparently trying to elude police, his car was them rammed by police into a creek and disabled. The police officers began to shoot. According to some neighbors who witnessed this, they said the officers shot more than once, possibly 5 to 10 shots were heard, and the young man was killed. My question is, when the car was disabled, why did the officers not request for him to get out of the vehicle with his hands up? I understand he should not have fled the police, but after his car being disabled and knowing this young man for three years now, I believe he would not have been a threat to the officers and he should not have been killed. What I know about this young man is a very quiet gentle person, this is very disheartening. Too many people are being killed at the hands of the ones who are sworn to protect us.
