I've known Holly and her family my whole life, and I'm very happy for her and this achievement. But the amount of hype in her hometown over this is getting RIDICULOUS. Very out of hand. It's pretty widely known that she doesn't make it to the live voting round. And I know everyone's excited that she made it to Hollywood, but I can't even get on my Facebook or Twitter without seeing something about it. People are starting to get rude about it too. People are making names for her fans and it's all over the newspapers and everywhere. I just think that it's a little out of hand when she didn't even make it to the live voting round. I mean, she's not even famous! Only in the Southern Ohio region. In the next 6 months, nobody will be talking about this anymore, so all of the hype now is a little crazy. I think everyone should know this, and I know very well that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Many, many people do.

Sounds like you are jealous. Holly is really talented and even if she don't make it to live voting: she can try again

I am glad someone like her is getting so much attention! It's nice to finally see a teenager doing what they love in a respectful manner. She stays true to herself and her Christianity. More stories like this should be spread around Chillicothe... Give our youth some positive role models.. Instead of hearing about drug busts and thieves every other day!

While I'm not a Christian I pretty much agree with what 'Hater' said. I see teenagers around town pregnant and girls hovering around them in interest at events like the feast and the fair. We need more people like Holly going after their dreams before they taint their future with that kind of behavior.

I hate to say it, but I kinda agree with that person up there. It's great that she went to Hollywood, but if the rumours about her getting eliminated early are true, then all of this talk is kind of crazy. I mean, I like to get on my Facebook and catch up with my family and my kids, but all I see now is "Holly Miller" or "Team Holly" I just want to see pictures of my grandbabies not pictures of "Holly with her golden ticket to fame". And I mean, all of these people are getting their pictures with her or autographs, there's even t-shirts? but she's not even famous? Ya'll know what I'm saying?

I can't believe grown a** adults can't just let a teenager celebrate winning the chance to advance to the Hollywood part of Idol. I mean come on people not many teenagers can say they did it let alone do it. So let her enjoy it and be proud of it. And if she didn't make it to the live voting I hope she doesn't get discouraged and give up, I hope she goes back for it again and again until she does make it.

I support her, I don't agree with what all of these people up there are saying about her - quite mean. But I do understand I little of what they're saying about the hype. That's all I'm gonna say on this matter.

She tried. You are right with that. But who promotes that so much if she didn't even make it that far? I would be embarrassed if I were her.

she's a very nice girl, and her family, the millers, and her cousins, the bakenhasters are amazing people. please stop talking crap about it all, I'm proud she even got to go on idol, that's more of an achievement than most people around here :) I am truly honored to know both familys, great people (:

I guarantee that you see more pregnant teenagers and single mother teens when you open your FB accounts, than Holly Miller photos, and none of you are complaining about that? Lets glorify somebody pursing their dream and stop glorifying 16 year olds having babies.
