I've never once stated that I "had anything". But if The Gazette indicates that there is an investigation, you can bet your ass that SOMETHING happened. They don't just go incriminating folks willy nilly, particularly the chief of police. It'd be my guess that you'll see your video on the news at 5. Let me know how it works out.

We have no idea what he's going through. He lost his wife of 25 years almost a year ago now and I heard that him and his son are having trouble. Cut the man a break. Everyone mourns in their own way. We law abiding citizens take your side chief.
He was dating 3 month after his wife's death, also if he is at the bars drinking is he driving. I don't want to lose one of my family members, because he is in need of help. HE SAYS NOT TO DRINK AND DRIVE. BUT HE DOES HE NEEDS TO LISTEN TO HIS SELF MORE. What is he teaching the kids.

You are a absolute idiot. Mourning the loss of a loved one does not include ripping your shirt off in a fight at a bar. It has been shown multiple times with his abuse of power.
1. The flipping off incident
2. Previous fights and issues at bars
3. Now this
Look like someone has a drinking problem not a mourning issue. Drinking leads to problems with a persons family. Maybe thats where the trouble lies between him and his son. BTW how do you know about him and his son? Seems like you know him personally. He has burned his bridges in the public eye. That was done by him and him only. For the cops that let him go, I do not blame them. He obviously has a power complex and they probably feared for their jobs. You know people wanted the fire chief fired for not getting equipment up to par. What he did was in no way as bad as abuse of power like the chief of police has been seen and doing multiple times. Its just time to realize that maybe its time to go.
I agree

Ok it's says he got into a verbal altercation. Ok give him a disorderly conduct ticket, which is what everyone else would get AT MOST and move on. I doubt he "left with beer in hand" and if the cops told him to leave then it is their fault not his.

If the man's judgment is so skewed (by grief, alcohol, or what have you) that he'd do such a thing, who is to say that he would not let his grief/anger get the best of him in a law enforcement situation?

If in fact got in his vehicle, drove the vehicle after drinking. Nothing else needs to be said.

I agree being the Chief Of police you take a oath of office, to protect and serve your community. No it's not his fault it is the officers that didn't arrest him. yea right

Hopefully the Mayor see this, the best thing for Roger to do is take an unpaid leave of absence and get his head on straight.

We should all be embarrassed about some of our Peace officers in Ross County not just the Cheif. We have those on the CPD and Sheriff's office that couldn't chase down a suspect if someones life depended on it. We have people here getting jumped, beaten with shovels. One man has been in hospital for over a month and will have to have multiple surgeries to reconstruct the damage done by several other people stomping and kicking him in the face. Yet not one arrest has been made? They maybe doing drug busts, but what about the other crimes being committed? I think there needs to be a major shake up in both offices.
I will agree with you on that classychazy. Seems like after the boy getting jumped was such a violent crime nothing was done as of yet. Seem's like rates of people getting jumped has raised sence nothing was done to Mike Colvin. The boy that he hit with a shovel and kicked several times,in they head is still getting surgeries.

There are many of us out late in the evening who have seen him drink and drive. Just go to bubs timeout and you'll see him down multiple drinks (although at times he tries to hide it) and then he gets in his car and leaves. That's pretty common knowledge with the bar crowd.
