Without bringing up those involved in the accident, if Life is found negligent, would you trust them and their equipment? Do you think something as simple as forgetting a sticker is ok? I am curious about the opinions on the future of Life and nothing more!

I would not trust them and I agree with u on being concerned as well I mean peoples loved ones are at risk if things go wrong or things aren't properly checked I mean this van had over 300,000 miles that is a lot I mean my 1995 mustang had a lil over 200,000 and was damn near ready to fall apart when I traded it in so I can imagine the wear and tare on such a vehicle that is drove as much as these ones are drove and it also makes u think of other wheelchair driver companies and if they do the same things 2 pass a inspection and I am also not trying to say anything bad about anyone that works at life simply the owner if he is allowing vehicles that should be on the on the road!

No, simply No and Any hospitals or anywhere in legal contracts with life at nursing facilities or hospitals if the Patient does not have preferable transfer please DO NOT CHOOESE LIFE, go ahead and choose Pickaway Plain's or even ABLE to transport the Patient. I will aware you that their is infact some kind of problem with every vehicle LIFE owns. None of them are 100% safe and some of them are JUNK, chillicothe's branch is Notrious for checking off their checks lists without actually checking the equipement etc. The Dispatchers and Manager are lazy and filthy disgusting people. Sleeping Around with eachother and mating inside the LIFE trailer or should I say their new little Life Air Scum shake is all they care about.

Its really crazy that they conduct business like that. All companies should have checks and balances. I hope they are held responsible for negligence.

Really there is documented proof the E Brake didnt work, the van had expired tags. I dont wanna hear that crap about we put the tags on the wrong vehicle when the tags have the license plate number on them. I have seen most of your vehicles and ever since you guys got that damn heli you have let your vans go to crap. I hope you do get sued. You obviously dont care about your employees or your patients, all you care about is keeping that dollar bill in your pocket. Suck it up spend some damn cash , fix your vans and put a good product on the road. Do you really think that people are gonna use you guys. Good luck with bankruptcy

Yea they are the worst EMS company to ever grace central ohio. Al and Mike bates are the only ones worth a damn that the company has.

and how did the expired tag cause the ambulette to run into the back of the truck?

@ truth be told. The tags were expired because the truck DID NOT PASS INSPECTION. Unless otherwise proven. The final investigation is the only way to get answers here and it may be a very long time.

Driving around Chillicothe you see a bunch of brand new LIFE ambulances running around, which is why I'm a little wondering where this van that had 350,000 miles came from (Oh, thats right Portsmouth).

I hear mixed reviews about LIFE, but most of the positive ones are coming from people who claim to work there. But because I have never experienced their services, I also cannot speculate how bad or good LIFE is.

If the van was from portsmouth all the chillicothe station had to do being Lanita or the dispatcher's would had to of swapped to a safer vehicle on the lot and then transported the rest of the way if that would of been done disaster would of not happened. period It's chillicothe Life's fault.

The tags didn't cause the wreck! If the brakes went out that did! That's all anyone is saying! Word is that cody called in and said something was wrong with the breaks but he was gonna go ahead and take barb because he was so close and wanted 2 make sure she got there safe idk how true it is but it came from a reliable source so I will def consider it 2 be true. the e brake on the van had been questioned 2 weeks prior ppl just want facts about how this happned and what caused it. I know I do anyways and if it was because the ambulance everyone has a right 2 know. And I wanna know who the life employee was who was supposed 2 go with cody and wouldn't ride in it so she got told 2 go home wonder if that's true??

If it is true its sad 2 think cody wanted 2 take barb 2 the hospital instead of turn around cause he was close to the hospital and if they breaks did go out he didn't want her 2 be in harms way

I think that Just Wait meant to say that the van was from the Portsmouth fleet. But it was for some reason stationed in Chillicothe at the time. I know the patient was picked up in Chillicothe though, so they weren't transporting her from Portsmouth.

None the less, answer to the first question......never

This is so true Life swaps trucks all the time trucks are commonly left at other branches for weeks at a time waiting for mechanic repair's or what not, still if or if not they should of swapped or taken a safer w/c unit or just transported her by squad via cot.

i heard her name was monica. i'm not 100% on that. but sometimes they have to go get trucks from portsmouth so they can do all the runs they have. that's probably why he was driving a portsmouth truck. either way, there's nothing anyone can do now so i think people should just leave it alone. let the investegators determine what happened and just leave it alone.

I think some of you need to get you facts straight, the accident was NOT caused by vehicle neglect! I will always trust this company to transport me or my family. U can't compare ur personal vehicle mileage to an EMS vehicle, those vehicles are made to sustain high mileage with regular maintenance! I work at an ambulance service and some of our rigs have 500,000 miles on them and they're still going. Please get ur facts straight before you bad mouth an EMS service.

I think some of you are employees or old employees of this service, the ones running their mouth are probably discruntal employees that have been fired. If u don't like the company then quit but don't bad mouth a good and successful company, if the driver knew there was an issue with the truck why did he take it. Its common sense....don't drive a vehicle that's not safe, so if he took the "unsafe" truck I hate to say it but the driver needs to be held responsible! Or maybe even his family. At my job if my rig is unsafe I'm not risking taking it!
