I just heard Darrel Rinehart speak on the radio regarding the City Administrator fighting to give all full time city employees the 1 1/2% raise they had hoped to receive. Does Councilman Rinehart think the employees and public are so stupid that they don't realize that Brookshire was fighting for his own wages. It doesn't take a rock scientist to figure out that he will only receive $100 compared to $1300+ had they received the additional 1 1/2%. Brookshire looks out for Brookshire and nobody else.

Maybe the Administrator thinks now that he has changed the one elected position that will only pay $1.00 next year, that he can use that money.

Maybe if Administrater and other oficials passed on their raises they could afford to give the working people their raise.

Don't expect ANYTHING to be right in city hall, and you won't be nearly as disappointed.

Over 10% raises for the elected positions but none for the working people. The right thing to have done was to hold all positions to the same rate of pay. But, when was the last time the city council and administrator done the right thing!

I can answer tht one - its easy!! WHEN FOLI WAS MAYOR. And even then, they [council] didn't want to.

The three elected women's wages were decreased two years ago by $1200.00/year (decrease of 3%) and they have had no additional increases. Now the administration has gotten rid of the treasurer's position and will try to get rid of the others as well.
The mayor and administrator however have received lots of benefits including car allowances and still receive mileage for out of town business, phone allowances, and additions in pay. The present administration has also fixed it so the City's legal council will be Robert Cowherd. Terry Rumery will always have his hands in the pot as long as Cowherd is in. We need change at the upcoming City elections.

The citizens of Chillicothe are powerful if they will just get out and vote! Also, attend council meetings and see first hand what is going on.

Unfortunately, the city does not read Topix, and these opinions are never heard. Only when the city council chambers are packed every night, different people are running for office, and our voter turn out attendance is over half the city population, will people be recognized. Currently, decisions are made and decided upon because they know no one will offer any resistance! Get off Topix and let them hear you!

I've said it before, pressure the council and mayor to terminate the city administator. It is wasted money and he seems totally out of touch with the community.

Recently I say many business hot asphalting their lots. Is this another Brookshire directive?

The economy is in the tank and business is not that great right now and walla, the city is on their back.

I would encourage all persons to vote out the council. Vote for anybody but the current crop.

They are tax and spenders of your hard earned money.

Noticed he moved his office at City Hall. What's with that?
