The hired attorney for the City, the City Administrator, and the City Economic Developer, all do not take the oath of office. The elected attorney does take the oath, as does the Mayor, Council,... If those who take the oath, do not follow the rules and work for the citizens, they can be held to a high standard and punished, but not so for the hired hands. These hired hands have the right do other outside work, and can make deals that do not benifit the people, and would be penalized far less if indited on corruption or backroom sweetheart deals. They have no obligation to take an oath or represent the people, but most think they do, including the City Council. An investigation into a new hospital cost lots of money, and who can coordinate that venture? Those responsible to the people? No, the hired hands can do it, who can act as middlemen and extract large handling fees, because the Council allows them to. Coordinating the sale of a bowling alley is the same, as is the sale of the old prison property. The Council needs to realize who represents who, and be wiser in spending the taxpayers money. The inside guys know how to grease the Council gears. I say, we do not need folks that have other loyalties greater than the peoples interest.

When it is the City Administrator telling the elected Mayor & Attorney what to do and say, it is the elected that will take the fall. When the attorney lies under oath because the administrator has him scared, he needs to realize he is the one who faces charges. Hopefully this will all come out soon!!!

Chillicothe, small town, breeds small minds to tax the minimum wagers into starvation. And then wonders why they don't buy much. They can't it was taxed away from them before they got a chance to spend what little they get.

Some say that if you ever get past the county line you won't be back!

Come on down, Kansas City has jobs going begging for $10 an hour and no orange bags and second jobs if you want 'em. Rents are equal to or less and utilties are a heap cheaper.

Don't come if you are scared of people you don't know! Don't come if you can't drive on a multi lane highway! Don't come if go hunting, we got enough lead down here! If you are scared, stay there and slowly starve out!

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Taurus

Although the influences around now tend to give you endurance and stamina, you do have to watch that you're not straining your body too much, or trying to force yourself to do things that you don't want to do. Too much willpower can sometimes make you push yourself past your limits. You may be overspending to compensate, because you feel that you deserve a little reward for all your hard work. However, you'll have to pay the piper sooner or later!
