You're right, I don't care what impression it gives to the community. According to one poster here, Chillicothe is the laughing stock of northern Missouri. I can live with that.
This is already a community that has a downtown "plaza" that stretches halfway out into the middle of the street and has 4 big balls lining it.
This is also a community that wanted to build a new hospital in a flood plain, and wanted to pay someone a millon dollars to develop the old prison property, and then sit back and let the developers collect the money from it.
We have an old fart for a mayor, a bastard for a city administrater, and a bunch of yes men for counselmen, one of who has a 22 year old daughter that was recently arrested for having sticky fingers at Wal-Mart.
And lets not forget our former city atterny that went to prison for bulking money from a client, and another bar owner that has a fund raiser to help a twice convicted man get a new trial so that he might get released from prison and kill again!
You really think a little juice bar is going to change our look to the outside world.
You must have a set of those rose colored glasses too!
You tell 'em John! Chillicothe is the laughing stock of Missouri. Been coast to coast and never seen nothing as stupid as those balls in the street. Got more banks than money to put in them. Ain't got no descent payin' jobs. Hey, why not put that juice bar down on U S 36 so people traveling through can stop and rest a spell without gettin' all drunk? Be real handy for Casey's truckers, specially since the Prairie Dog whore house is out of business. Juice bar ain't gonna make whores out a nobody. Too much free stuff to go payin' for it. You tell 'em now John, you hear... you tell 'em good!

Who would have ever thought Chillicothe would want a juice bar, of all things!

I guess somebody took it to heart when it was pointed out, "Chillicothe's got it all."

Believe I'll keep my money in my pocket! Naw, I'll make it over to one of them nice Kansas City restaurants. Just as soon as I figure out which one.

I won't tell nobody I'm from Chillicothe, not with the juice bar issue out there.

Yes I am in denial and stupid. That's why I went to college and received a degree in criminal justice. Also my senior thesis was on the effects of adult oriented businesses in communities.
Ok so please do enlighten us.

You ask for cold hard facts. If you did a thesis then I'm sure you can provide us with some links and cold hard facts as well in your support.

Someone decided to try and open a business, which happned to be a Juice Bar. The location was outside the city limits. The city nor the residents actively went searching for someone to locate that type of business in or near the town
Secondly, I see nothing wrong with someone opening a business, any business, as long as it is legal and follows all federal, state, county and local laws. Freedom of choice is rather important. I would choose not to go there, but I'm not going to push my beliefs on anyone.(unlike others on this site)
And thank you for not telling anyone you're from Chillicothe. We appreciate that.

yeah. I'm SURE everyone in Missouri is pointing at Chillicothe and laughing. Why, I bet that's the #1 activity in Missouri, is to find out what Chillicothe is doing, then laugh at it. Heck, maybe that should be an Olympic Sport, pointing at Chillicothe and laughing.

nitwit.

I laugh every time I drive through Trenton, so its possible people from nearby towns laugh when driving through Chillicothe.

Especially if they drive down Webster Street and see the big balls! lol

I spent alot of time in Trenton as a kid and I can say this. I swear that towns streets meander so much they are worse than cattle paths!

Figures now my family is looking at houses up there at the lake! LOL

LOL How long before the rest of the bars get in on the act?

What I can't figure out is why anyone would pay to see the women around here strip? Hell, most at the bars will do it for nothing!

These folks that keep saying they want to see titties and stuff but also say they won't go out to Good Time Charlies. Gimme a break!

So thats his words i just typed them lol
To each his own.
I dont think your a rotten husband for wanting to go...as you said atleast once. after all your a man and some men just wanna see them all LOLBut I would rather go to KC and if the girls here are from KC then thats even better you wont run in to your daughters 2nd grade teacher trying to make ends meet by showin the goods LOL I hope this place now will be like HOOTERS not so much a strip club but good food and pretty girls that look good in tight shorts and shirts not trying to put her leg up on the table while your eating LOL
