Chillicothe, Mo.— C-T sources have confirmed that Mark Woodworth, 37, has won his most recent appeal, and will be released from his incarceration at Crossroads Correctional Center, in Cameron, Mo.

Woodworth was appealing a life sentence he received a decade ago, for the 1990 murder of 41-year-old Cathy Robertson, his neighbor, and for the shooting of her husband, Lyndel. Woodworth, whose father was the farming partner of Robertson, was 16 at the time.

More information will come as it becomes available

Now maybe they can get the real people that committed the murder and attempted murder on the Robertsons. Notice I said people everyone that was involved in these senseless murders! God bless the people that had faith and never gave up on Mark and his family.

Something has triggered the court to give him a new trial. If he is truely innocent (which I believe he is) then I truely hope that justice is brought to the individuals that took this young mans youth away.
If he is guilty then prove it without any doubt. Don't leave all the unanwsered question unanwsered.

Let the arguments begin!!

I'd rather like to know the C-T's "sources". Why so secretive about where they got their information? I'll believe it when I see it.

Stop being a conspiracy theory junkie - It was a brief/decision made public by a judge and court system today. It had been expected and the CT was doing their job and looking for it.

Finally, good news for an innocent man. He has lost his teen years, but maybe we can make up for the years he has lost.
I'm sure VRA and others will be on here soon, but the more they talk, the less creditability they have. The truth will come out, VRA, so get ready.

I wish a world renouned defense attorney on murder cases would take his case pro bono. But only if they believed he is innocent.

Maybe Hulshoff should be held liable for all these mess ups and be prosecuted also.

yeh! Finally some one in this state of MO listened and read all the evidence not those of what one or two decide to do. Good Luck Mark. and to the Robertson children please try and make up to everyone who you beleived wrong and be hopeful now that they do the right justice. both family's at this time had children that lived most of their lives just knowing what they have heard family members saying and what they read not knowing real evidence was being with held. God be with you all!

He still may never be released. It is only in the opinion of the special master that he may have a new trial. It is not a legally binding opinion. The Supreme court has the final say and will review this opinion. The court will decide to uphold the verdicts of before that he is in fact guilty of murder or he will be granted a new trial. No decision has been made. Only an opinion has been made. Much like these here.

It's kinda like that town in Kansas where they have worlds largest ball of twine. Only here with this new trial we get to unravel it and see whats at the center core. Yes
