Chelle, you brought up a good question. Why don't our local paper run health inspoections and how the local restaurants do? Once a month in the St. Joseph paper they list inspections and what they found at the restaurants. I think this should be public knowledge here as well.

Call the Livingston County Health Center and ask.

They handle the health inspections if I remember correctly.

Dairy Queens food is awful. I've never liked it but, to each his own. Ice cream is great and so are the cakes. The help needs more customer service training, but if they are going to close then what is the point?

Taco Bell franchise cost, stand alone, is between $1,200,000 and $1,700,000 excluding land/lease cost. I'm not sure what it would run on a restaurant tied to a service station.
Actually Taco Bell no longer allows these types of convenience store restaurants. It is full size or nothing. But it would be nice.

Actually it pretty common to have them wear latex gloves, it is the psuedo food industry. I have tattoos, and I agree, I don't like them to be visible at all times. But I also do not announce who I am and what I do for a living when I enter a room either. I'm very mysterious...OOoOOOOoOoOooo... I even wear a cape.

Well as far as I know Dairy Queen is not closing, and is still being operated by Mukesh seperate from
the gas station atleast for the time being. I agree they do need customer service training badly but no one wants to train, just do the job get it done, and get out. I swear the owner is blind to anything but making profits, though if he took the time to care for his business, he would make even more exceedingly. The employees don't care for the most part because they're all trying to survive off of 100-200 a week and no one wants to even train them on how to properly do thier jobs, and then not pay them an appropriate amount for them to actually care. That's Chillicothe's food problem all around though, everyone wants great service, and there are people who want to give it to them. Employers though, don't want to pay for it. If the employers in this town would actually reward the good work of atleast those who stood out, then those other employees would then have motivation to step it up. Everyone in the community would benefit, just don't be afraid to speak up to these restaraunts in a calm manner, about how they can change to suit the needs of the customers they serve. Everyone has to get involved though, and actually give a shit, then maybe this town could go further. As it stands though nobody in town cares about one another. It's a huge mass of selfish people trying to get over on another, keep everyone else broke, themselves rich, and to put as many decent people in prison and into a hardened criminal over the most idiotic petty things. In the end we make the difference, every single person. I hope I didn't mispell any of this, but rest assured the people at DQ who did mispell those signs have been thoroughly made fun of for it. This is are town, lets be the difference.- A Concerned Young Adult in Chillicothe MO.

After Poor Boy takes over the DQ, then everything will be fine. Unfortunately, some people with money should never enter into a business, if they don't understand how to operate it. Not everyone is cut out for the restaurant business. It looks easy from the drive through window... but it does take lots of CARING & CONCERN for other people.

Quik Trip is the Porsche of convenience stores, pour boys, well I just don't bother to use their stores after my experience at the N.Oak store, Gladstone. They just don't measure up to the.gold standard for.convenience stores. Pour boys does not equal Please Stop, the Lckery Split of Parkville where I loaf, just like the.OLD Lckety Split of Chilli.

Pour Boys ain't up wirh the big boys or down with the little guy.

Bad Business

Yeah the new owners of the Station here have a very bd reputation. I feel sorry for what the employees have to deal with on a daily basis after reading some of the information posted on the site that was linked above. www.pourboyoilsucks.com
Granted most info on sites like this are not 100% correct but something bad had to happen for someone to even take the time to make the site. The company seems to be ran completely off of fear.(Hitler/Ceaser) type of control. In a economy like todays this is bad business ownership. Company Owners like the ones who now own this station know there are many people out of work and replacing a employee is alot easier then a few years ago. Running your business by constantly threatening your employees of being fired and some of the other insane accusations on that site is just wrong.

Might be a good explaination as to why the service is so poor there. Employees get treated like crap by the business and take it out on the customers. bad Business owners/operators make for bad business.
