For those of us in the community that honestly cannot attend.

Unfortunately, due to family being a major priority, I'm not able to attend these. Nobody likes squalling brats. LOL

I'm sure there's many others here that would appriciate it as well.

The CT is so biased it's not even funny. It's the official newspaper for the city notices but that's a load of crap. Everyone here is very familiar with their editing practices.

The council chambers are very small and by the time you get all the city employees in there it is full. There is someone from kchi radio that reports on the meetings and you can listen to their report the next day. There has been some people lately who are very interested in the workings of the city, perhaps they would like to run for council?

Yes, you should be able to attend and take notes. When I was Mayor, I had a tape recorder, until the Council banned it, because they didnt want to be held accountable for thier words. Amazing!

Is it too much to ask that our "public servants" be accountable for their actions? What good is accomplished by "voting the bums out" after the damage is done?

Feel free to attend and take notes. However, if too many people start doing this, the council will install a drop box right by the door and you will be required to leave your notes on the way out with a self adressed stamped envelope - adressed to you. Once all notes have been sensored by Rod Dixon, the notes will be mailed to you. Of course as Mr. Foli has proved in the past, the true agenda, illegalities, and slight of hand moves this city is noted for will be discussed in a "special" meeting of invititation only before hand and will have been decided before the official council meeting even starts.

City employess are now required to attend and they have assigned seating in hopes that the room is filled in advance and not too many CITIZENS can attend. Just don't expect to be able to comment on anything because you will be told you either did not send your request in-in advance or they do not have enough time to hear your VOICE!!!

Of course they don't want the general public there but since we are the ones paying their salaries we do have the right to attend. If the space is not big enough they can move to a larger space.

You can contact the mo atty generals office and they will give you the sunshine laws for the state of missouri and if you dont feel that the city is following them someone from that office will come here to help out.

For the State to get invovled in a major way would take a very serious infraction. These guys are to smart for that. They know where the line is, and they go right up to it, and if its crossed at all, it's in such grey area that ethics review most likely will just slap them on the hand. Only voting out the elected officials that allow such things to go on, is the only real way to bring about change. They have the scepter of power, and can use it how they like whether we like it or not. We can bitch and moan, but thats all we can do while they hold the seats.

Does being a clueless idiot come naturally, or do you have to work at it? I'm thinking it comes naturally.
