I'm not saying that everyone should have a huge fake smile and attitude but when your rely on customers to make a paycheck at least say thank you and have a somewhat pleasent attitude. If someone is rude enough then eventually you will see business go downhill. I work in the customer service world on commission and I know my paycheck directly correlates to my attitude. I just think so many businesses customer service has went downhill lately. We all need to try a little harder.

Chill out! I believe that we have more important issues that need attention other than our perception of the attitudes of the local retail employees. I seldom encounter "rude" customer service or check-out clerks. It could be worse. You could have me behind the counter. Most of the time, I need their friendly behavior to cheer me up. And I try to smile and cheer them up. If I walked in their shoes, then maybe I could understand an unpleasent behavior.

Concerning "gas" prices, Hy Vee as well as all other fuel stations make very little profit on fuel sales. That is why they have convenience stores. If they relied only on selling fuel, they would go broke.

Who said Hy-Vee Gas or anyone was getting right off gas? Shrimpeater was just saying what the price is. Maybe you should chill out.

Im just glad they finally got new gas pumps that acutally pumps gas at a good speed. One morning I stopped in there on my way to work and put in 10 dollars worth of gas, and I shit you not, it took 10 minutes to pump that much! If I had intended to fill my tank, I'd have been there till 10am! lol
You can now get your $10 worth of gas much faster.(Hint: as the price of Obama fuel goes up, you get less gallons FASTER.)

What I wouldn't give to get some gas priced by Bush! Obama is pricing me out of some of my long cruises. Whatever happened to his promise? "Drill Baby Drill?"

If he gets re elected I'll have to ride a a Honda sport bike with the 250cc to get 70 mpg so I can afford to cruise!

Incidentally John, why would you not buy Top Tier fuel as recommended by most major manufacturers.

Look it up on the web. I suggest you use Conoco Phillips in Chillicothe to get Top Tier fuel.

Gas siphoners are out in force working the dimly lit parking areas and prying open gas covers.

Better get a locking gas cap.

I've noticed where ever you go in this town, or any other town for that matter, the later in the day it gets, the good service goes with it ! The exception would be the businesses where their employees receive tips . Anybody ever time their wait at McDonalds when their 10 cars back @ 8 am, as opposed to 8 pm ! And for sure mama always said nothing good ever happens after midnight ! SHOP EARLY ...

Botton line is, if you don't like the serice you got at Hy-Vee Gas, go somewhere else. There are PLENTY of other gas stations in town. Maybe one of them will get down and kiss your ass when you are there.
Now that would be service. LOL!

I went to hyvee gas for the first time in years today and had the worst possible service. The woman working practically threw my change at me and I politely said thank you and have a good day the girl replied yup. Since when did yup become an appropriate response? Maybe I am old fashioned but it was just rude. Has anyone else received service like this from hyvees employees?
How could she throw you change at you when it comes out of a change dispenser automatically?

I have never had anything but good service from HyVee Gas!

You think you're getting Top Tier gas by the name of the station? LMAO! Well the commercials work then, but you're not.

Do you know anything about the supply system and the delivery chain. I hauled fuels for years. Most (not all) of your fuel here, except Casey's, comes from Fairfax in KCKS. If you're ever in the hood drive by and watch as they load. You will see all the majors in getting fuel from the same distributor. Then when they get the fuel to the station and off load, a splash and I mean a splash of additive is added to the tank so you can have your "Techroline" or so called detergent the commercial is pumping into your head to buy that brand.

Thanks for the laugh!

So how does someone throw bills at you? Arn't bills made out of paper? Doesn't seem like paper would fly very far or very well.
