Chillicothe disbands riverfront panel
After two years of meetings and $54,000 spent on a consultant's study, the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Riverfront Development was quietly decommissioned Monday at the end of a special meeting of the Chillicothe City Council.

The committee was dismissed because they had accomplished their task. Now the work begins for the Economic Development Committee and the council as a whole. Obviously some of the ideas presented are very exciting and others not so much. We need to get Fourth St. cleaned up and developed before we get too involved with the park area at the riverfront. The North and South parts of the plan look very good.
