What are vhsl rules. That is not allowing other girls to play and get experience.

It's totally fair. They are the best in their grade, they should represent CMS and be able to win some games.

Yeah, they should get to play! After all they are in the 7th grade. Besides, noone got cut from the team, so I hear, so what's it matter?

I agree the more practice time & game time the better they will be. Then maybe in their upper grades they will be stronger in their skills & confindence. Remember it's a head game too they need self-confindence & encouragement.
That's how you get a well rounded player. But THEY need to want to play not the parents THEY need to want to play & practice practice practice!!

Oh yes I hear alot are trying out because they wanna be apart of a team. It's kinda sad, but they are getting exercise from it, so it's still beneficial.

They actually haven't decided how many to keep, so I hear. They might cut 4 girls, as I heard.

Hey! Why is it sad?...Sounds like you have given up...look at what you wrote. People...think ...they need encouragement & your participation in their
practice, at home too! Parents watch & pay attention to what the coaches say & teach. Then carry it over at home. But remember no one is a winner if grades in school are bad. Parents, stay involved in all the activities your children are in. So important!!

It is fair, and they deserve to play with their team. Just because they were good enought to play 8th grade as well, don't knock then from playing rightfully with their own classmates!!

I agree. If this is done maybe we would have some strong future teams and many scholarships. Talk about feeling good watching the kids you coached years back playing in High School & to top it off getting scholarships too! Works both ways!

Taylor plays based on her own abilities, not because of who her parents are.

Well said Thank You. She will make any team she tries out for, you Chilhowie People should be happy she plays and scores or they would loose every game. Instead of commenting and bashing a child about her abilities on playing a game why don't you spend that time and coach your lazy fat kid on learning to shoot the ball! Then they wouldn't have to play the same kids all the time! Jealous is a sickness....will catch up to you one day

Wow how immature! Nobody is cutting Taylor down and you shouldn't be cutting down other people's children down calling them a fat lazy kid. A point was being made how the coaches work with certain children and leave the others behind. They all deserve a fair chance if they are making an effort. Furthermore, I think the first step was taken for these children to want to play, the next step is for someone to take interest in helping them out and help them reach their goals. It's great that Taylor's parents work with her on her basketball skills but not all parents can do that. Give those parents credit for wanting the coaches to work with them to help them succeed. I don't like your bashing of other children/parents. Bullying others is NOT the answer.

Coaches can't do it all parents has to step in some how and show some interest too. Half of them don't listen to what the coach says they are to busy texting or talking about each other. This team will never be able to work together cause they are jealous of each other or they got some kind of stupid drama. Its one smells bad, one is manly the other is pretty the other one can't shot the other one is lazy. One is too tall this lists goes on and on. Drama needs to be cut out and play and get along. Didnt you see how the Tomlinson girl writes on Taylor"s Facebook we are always enemies and we always will be! What kind of team member would do that???? My opinion she should be kicked off the team, plus she always acts like someone is stealing her stuff! Ask the 8th grade coach about that???? Play ball as a team or go the h$$$ on. Just my opinion

Why would anyone bash Taylor? I mean she's an amazing person. Yeah, she has money. If your bashing her it's just because you're jealous. Get real. Also, it's noones fault but the parents that their kid is fat or smelly. Make them exercise and eat healthy foods, other than McDonald's everyday!

My goodness! Take the texting and facebook factors away & the money stuff...and drama! AND PLAY BALL!! Coaches need to set them straight your a team no texting, no bad mouthing each other etc or you are off the team. You WILL have each others back and you WILL get along or you won' t play. Get tough now!
