This is seriously getting old. With everything going on in the country we are wasting all of this money on a stupid cell phone that cost probably $20 a month if that and from my understanding was not used as a business line considering the business line has always been a 646 number. If it is an issue then why not say, pay it back or you will face charges? You people obviously have too much free time to be sitting on here all day commenting on this stuff and talking about people. If you feel like you could do a better job than our law enforcement officers then you should have chose that as your profession. It's always easy to throw stones at these people without all of the details basing your opinion on what a newspaper article prints. To me, everyone makes mistakes, whether these gentlemen did or didn't, I have respect for the people in my community and do not feel the need to hide behind a fake screen name, yes this means you too "smokey" commenting on these things. I trust the law system to do their job and I know things happen...if in fact they're guilty, did they do this as a big conspiracy to steal from the county? Get real people! In my opinion, you people who sit on this website commenting and talking smack about everyone all day are stealing from ALL OF US when you get your check next month and have absolutely nothing wrong with you. Don't get me wrong, those who need assistance I am more than thrilled that we can offer that. But if you want to talk about stealing, think of how we as tax payers work and others get to run around and keep having children that they get to stay home with(which, most leave them with someone else) while we have to miss a lot of our kids lives just to work and pay for their health insurance and to provide for them. See people, get real and see the big picture here! Get a life, and if you feel like these officials aren't doingtheirjobs adequately then there is this right that we were granted a long time ago.... It's called VOTING! Oh and if you feel soooo strongly on these opinions then you should definitely start posting your real names. I wish nothing but luck to the two men in court!
Your point would be more valid if you didn't deliver them in such a critical and "put down" type of manner...oh and post your real name and relation to the individuals aforementioned as well.:)

If you people really needed law enforcement, in an emergency situation, and these two were the only ones that showed up to protect your asses you would be grateful to them the rest of your lives. Let them pay the bill, and forget it. The county should provide cell phones for all on duty law enforcement. Some things dont need to come over a scanner, where the crooks can hear them coming, so cell phones are a necessary need for all police. If one makes a mistake, hell, they are not perfect. But bet your ass when they put on that uniform, they are an open target for all crooks. So instead of hanging them, get behind them, and try to help them out, instead of criticizing them. Check out their salaries, and see if you would put your life on the line every day, for what they get paid.
