It's a sad day when a pastor can get up in town council meeting and say it's okay for someone to break the law as long as they cut down a tree hanging over the parsonage boundry and cleaned up a yard, he has no testimony to me anymore, what is this world coming to? and his neighbor also saying it's okay to break the law because he was told he would get a 6foot fence behind his house, a twenty foot fence could not hide that awful sight and make a wrong ..right. It's all about someone wanting something so bad that they can overlook the rights of others and condone unlawful behavior!!!!!!!!!!Someone saying they are a follower of Christ and wanting someone to break the law? It truly is a sad day when all anyone thinks of is me..me..me..me, now I can say What would God do?

You can cut that portion of the tree that is hanging on your property at your expense. But as far as the original tree....it belongs to your neighbor. 6 foot fence would make him happy go for it. Even God's people are human and make mistakes and act ungodly. God would probably say talk it over and both of you work it out...everyone is watching you.

You got that right, their actions seem ungodly and would you say it's okay, let them break the law? do you really think God would say this is okay? I wouldn't want a preacher that says it is okay to break the law as long as they cleaned up the area..are you rowing your boat with oars?

No I did not say it was o.k. to break the law. I said to get together and work it out. I said even a preacher sometimes does not act Christ like....and you can not take matters into your own hands and go cutting your neighbors tree...only the branches on your side of the fence. And if his neighbor is not a Christian, is all this worth the price.

The tree can only be cut if both parties agreed. He does have a right to cut back and trim any and all branches hanging over his property line. Did some one cut down your tree.? We cut all of ours down because they were messy with birds and over growing over onto the neighbors. As usual you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. You do have the right to take him to court for payment of your tree.

Please clarify as usual you are making a mountain out of a mole hill? And did someone cut down your tree? I think the original post was about a Preacher wanting to cut down his neighbor's tree and the legality of it.

Re read the post , it can only be cut down by the owner or with owners permission. Said preacher can cut or trim limbs hanging over or possibly may cause harm to his property. That's the legality of it. You don't have to get town council involved unless they have laws about how or when trees can be cut. Mostly they ate concerned with clean up and disposable of said tree.

I may have not worded my comment so that you can understand, the point is they are saying it is all right to break the law as long as they benefit from it and it surely is a sad day for any preacher to condone unlawful behavior.
