What happened with the Townhouse Grill? Did they (Tom & Kyra Bishop) run the locals away by their snotty remarks about the "locals" in their magazine article. These locals that supported them. What has happened? They really did have it going on in the early years. Did they get too mighty... Or just tire of it? Anyone know?

The Townhouse was an undercover CIA outpost that investigated major cases involving chicken thieves that operated all along the I-81 corridor from the spring of 2004 until late 2010. After intensive investigations and countless man hours that failed to yield any arrests, other than local police officers, the effort was terminated. The crew was disbanded and many now work as town officials for the town of Chilhowie and Marion. The final blow came after Obama was elected and took all the rich people's money and distributed it among the poor of Chilhowie and the poor kept on eating at Micky D's.

really? I thought it would be a loss with it just standing empty!? It's a shame when people need jobs. Now with min. Wage going up small businesses will really be hurting. They won't be able to make it

You evidently don't understand the tax system in this country. Why do you think there's so many buildings standing empty around here. Take a look at who owns them.

Do you know the truth? If so, PLEASE DO SHARE. That American Furniture building does not belong to the Town of Chilhowie.

We all love a fine meal at times, but the last time I went the portions were too small. But the atmosphere was great.

I agree! But it looks like Riverfront is doing a great business actually drawing customers from out of town & county. Great fish & wonderful service!

I heard the Chef from the Black Rooster (who was once at Town House) was just hired at the Riverfront. I bet they will regret that decision since he was fired from both places for harassment!
