Is it just me or are they over priced and rude. I went in the other day and the lady running it was the most unfriendliest person I have meet. She completely ignore people asking her questions and was gossiping about other workers and customers.

they are suppose to be training men and women to get a job, but what are they training them? there's never any good word about the goodwill in Chilhowie.

I've been in there a few times. They are rude and they talk about always holding stuff back for each other. Would rather drive to Wytheville or the thift stores in Marion.

Well I think they are all nice and very friendly. Every time I go in there they speak to me and help me out. Just which one do you think is the manager???? And I think there prices are alright. You can't buy a pair of Aerspostale jeans in the mall for 7.27 or American Eagle shirts for 2.17. If you can please tell me where and I would love to go shop there. By the time you go and pay for gas to go to Wytheville, you could just buy it there. But it's your choice to go where ever you want too and I'm sure you not shopping there isn't going to hurt there business. From what I hear they are doing great and I so happy they are there. And what the training for is over in the other office, the store doesn't have anything to do with that but the Goodwill does provide jobs for people with disabilities or for people that can't get jobs anywhere else. I think you all need to research before you start bad mouthing people.

I love the goodwill... But I do think the jeans are a lil too much for USED jeans.. I've bought brand new aeropostale jeans at the Johnson city mall for $10 and shirts for $5. Everything is donated to the goodwill (I donate there)... cheaper would be better. As for gossiping about the lady that worked at food country... Whether if it's true or not, it's no ones business to post that on here! Blah!

sad part is the clothes are given to Goodwill. Ask them what happens to the money they get for what they sell.

ASk them what the salary of the top man at good will is. He gets free goods for his business and makes an ENORMOUS salary.... GO FIGURE

If you would do a little research the money is used to provide jobs for people with disabilities, felones that have trouble getting employment and mothers that have never really had a job. If you want to know so much about the Goodwill, I heard there main office is located in Kingsport so why don't you pick up the phone and call there and ask them about why there prices are like they are and where the money goes too. And I'm sure he doesn't make anymore than the people who own Walmart or McDonalds does so what does it really matter.

if I'm going to the Goodwill or thrift shops to buy clothing, I could care less what the brand is, but do care about the service I get.
