21 post here, wonder how many of us live in the town of Chilhowie and can even vote. Not me. So I don't have a say in this, I encourge the ones of you that are residents and voters of the town to attend the council meetings and better than that run for office. I'm sure you have good ideas that would be received, or at least you would be heard and they would know how people feel.

Or if you don't live in Chilhowie just give a fake Chilhowie address like the mayor. There is no such address he gave when he ran. Then after you get elected have the town annex your home like he did

until you go to a meeting and are told by boswell that him and town attorney do NOT know the law, then go and find out for yourself, I want someone that knows the law and will uphold the laws, don't you? and I do vote!

sounds to me like you are a lil bit jealous of the mayor.......everyone has a past I'm sure yours is so clean. Try doing something constructive instead of talking down about everyone.

well I don't think businessman is talking down on someone, the fact of the matter is,, there was some work done on a town vehicle if im not mistaken one garage bid 800 on bid 500 or 600 and the mayors was like 1600 or 1800,,and the town chose the highest bill,,, in my opinion those kind of spending habits aren't good for the towns budget. as far as someone complaining they have every right to.. I mean if you go to food lion and pepsi is 5.99 for a 24 pack and food city has it for 7.99 are you gonna go to food city or are you gonna go to food lion and tell everybody else where the cheaper is....

im not saying don't complain about stuff I'm saying don't get on here with facts that you think you know that are not true......if these people would go to the town meetings and voice these opinions they would get the answers they need. Instead they believe all this stuff and spread rumors......that's what makes me mad!!

no no hater,,, if you are referring to me I saw the bills for the repairs to the car, that is fact that is not a rumor, if it was I wouldn't post it on here. my opinion is the higher bill was paid because of the position the mechanic or owner was in, now is that a conflict of interest my opinion is yes because Virginia law states you cant serve on the town government and enter into a contract with them for other services, and a invoice or bill is the same as a contract.

well, I would like to see you there! no, you don't always get the answers, you need help, because you are yelping about something evidently you don't know anything about, that is why people are trying to get our leaders to do their job and be honest, they have to vent somewhere because it falls on deaf ears to the ones in charge, so why don't you go to the town meetings and report on here what you find out and then we may believe that you think what you are saying is the truth,OKAY?

That is a fact and if the people of Chilhowie would stand up to these kind of things going on instead of going with the same ole same ole then Chilhowie might change.

like somebody said, he does walk in the parades, he sure needs to exercise, it looks like, with that said the town of Chilhowie deserves the kind of workers that know what they are doing and go by the law and do their jobs, if they can't do the job and do their best to keep the laws, we don't need them (or want them) and surely, we do not deserve second best or less!
