How low can this place get? It's bad when me and the guys stop for breakfast and have to put up with a waitress that cares more about her cell phone than customer service, as many times as myself and others have to refill our own drinks we should get tipped not her, but I take my Family in for Sunday lunch two weeks in a row and have to listen to the cook scream and cuss and making racial comments to women, "Get your white azz outta my kitchen" is a racial comment to me. And instead of saying or doing anything the owner quietly walks away, the owner either needs to get control of his workers, hire a manager that can get control of them or close down because in the last 5 years the place has turned into a blight on our town, can it be saved and returned once again to a fine family establishment?? What are your thoughts and experiences?

I agree. it is a nasty stinking dirty place with horrible food and horrible service. I refuse to eat there. From what I could tell, the salad bar is set out in the morning and left out all day. The bowls and dressings are crusted over and covered in flies. The help is hateful and very slow. I stopped going a while back because i was afraid of food poisoning. I would rather eat a bowl of soup at home. I also don't care for the smoking in the place. that dumb little wall isn't much of a filtering system.

we refuse to eat at Dutches, lots of people on Sunday always but not us sorry.

Well let me tell all of you something.. You don't like it don't go.. I have been in there and I haven't seen any flies or crusty on the salad bar and it is replaced often so there if you are not there all day then how would you know anything..

I love Dutch's. If you don't want to eat there stay home and eat your momma's slop or your wife's hamburger helper.

I hate eating there but I'm always out voted if you ever see the kitchen you are going to be sick to your stomach. And there is one lady who works there Who is really nice but the rest are rude and it takes forever to get your food then they are made Cuz your there past 9.. if I wasn't out voted everytime I wouldn't eat there.. sorry.

The food service industry is a difficult one to be successful in. You have to worry about employees, customers, food costs, building upkeep, restocking the kitchen,increases in costs of running a business and decreases in profits, etc. One or two people can not be responsible for all of these areaas, every employ needs to be careful with expenses and do their part to help clean, meet the needs of the customers. It can be done, but it does take hard work.

All true, but when you have a drunken owner thinking he knows how to manage the place, and his management style is to pass the responsibility on to an employee that would rather give free food or 'friendly outside service' to personal friends and clients in order to pocket extra money, he only shows up to Manage 2 or 3 hours a day, places blame when and where he wants, waste money on things that do nothing for the business, has no quality control over any aspect of his business from ordering to stocking to cooking to serving, it's a melee of idiots that wouldn't last a month in a city with more than 2 cafe's and a deli for competition. I know he has had several experienced people start work there, but almost every one has quit or been 'let go' within a month for some reason. Personally I can think of a few reasons why the owner would keep his business running in the way he does without worrying if it actually makes money..........

I can remember when Dutch's was the best place to eat between Dallas and Amarillo. Not so in a long time now.
