I agree, but just how far can this counties people be expected to travel in an emergency or when sick.
Amarillo is really the best choice. TOO far when sick. Let's face it Vernon still has a few good Doctor's Wichita is a needle in a haystack. The specialist there are bad.

go to the Texas Medical Board licensure verification and look up the orders he has been under. Type in his last name (lane) and first name (kevin) and hit search. When the next screen comes up (the page should say, Public Verification/Physician Profile). In the middle of the page there is a gray box that says "view orders". Click on that and read the disciplinary orders that have been against him and the modifications he requested and had granted.

Anyone looking for a physician should do this on all physicians they will be seeing or who has been or will be treating them.

Just follow the link above
agree to the terms. Type in Lane and the zip code of Quanah.
Then it will bring up his name.
It will give you a link to what pdf files to read.
Well worth spending some time looking around. If you still can't find it call them.

go to the medical licensure board and review your physician before you go see them.

We go to Childress - they have some good doctors there, and have been taking care of the grandbaby since he was born.

We have also used Dr Rohm and he seems to be pretty good. He took the time to explain what was wrong and wasn't in a hurry to get us out of the office.

Small town/big city, all have good doctors and bad ones. It is up to the patient to do their homework before they see someone.

The fact that I choose not to use him is not the point I am making. If I am referred to any physician I look up their license before I head out to the office. The same goes for nurses and physician assistants. You can review their licenses for disciplinary papers as well. These people are being paid to make decisions related to your health and well-being. Much better to go in fully informed.

It is up to the person reviewing the license as to how they view the orders against it.

I just want the good people of Quanah to know please do some research before going to these small town docs .. They've been known to misdiagnose strokes that have led to one persons ultimate demise. I want mention any names but Dr Rohm should be ashamed of his actions by at the very least not sending patients with stroke like symptoms to at the very least get an imaging study like an MRI or Cat Scan instead of just sending them away as being over medicated.
If I offend anyone other than the aforementioned I apologize

Don't mistake a Drs bedside manner with misdiagnosing something as serious as a stroke.
All I ask is if you present to his office with stroke like symptoms at the very least ( any first year medical student would agree) at least follow up with the correct procedures and diagnostic test to rule everything out instead of just a quick irrational diagnosis of being over medicated.
Please Don't think of this as an insult but please think of it as a learning tool. It never hurts to be well informed about ones medical provider

Which one more stuff goes on there than people realize. The nursing staff maybe they have 4 good nurses, the rest all they worry about is their next food run. And they let patients lay there when they press call button not all the nurses do but most when they fill like gettingi up off their butts. I how for a fact "well they can wait til I get in there"bull they press the call button for reason get up and go see what that patient wants.I could go on and on but not enough room to write
