Springfield City Councilor Timothy Rooke proposes pay raise for mayor
A city councilor will propose a pay raise for the mayor to bring the current $95,000-a-year salary to as high as $160,000, saying it needs to reflect the responsibilities of the job and will help entice top-notch candidates to vie for the position.

There is noooo shortage of money for city hall and their cronies. Once they get this through it will be time to look toward raising all the others.
But...the Springfield roads are deplorable at best, but they don't have the money to repair, never mind replace them.
It's all bull-sh*t folks.
