Fire damages house, trailer on Hawthorn Street in Chicopee

It's a terrible thing to happen to those CHILDREN in that house...however, the house was a total disgrace. A hoarder's dream!

The owner was apparently using welding torches to try to dismantle the camper for scrap metal...his main sourse of "income" as he doesn't do anything except drive around and collect junk...when the dilapitated old camper caught on fire and it spread to the house, since the camper was parked about 5' from the side of the house.

Pure stupidity on the owner's part!!

Again, I feel for the children... they lost everything.
