The Tea bagger/ Republican Party will evaporate before your eyes when 98% of people are over taxed because of the 2%.

Bonehead Boehner says he is "Flabergasted". No Shit! What else is news!

EVERYONE will pay more tax.
Obama just wants more tax revenue to spend.....and that is what he will get..........and that is why he won't deal. He will be unrealistic, and over the edge we will go..........and then he will blame house rebubs while he figures out how he will give all of that new tax revenue away........duh!
It is a win/win for Obama.
congrats.

NO Obama wants to see the Republican party go down in flames.

Which is exactly what will happen when the Republicans hold up tax cuts for 98% of Americans if they do not get what they want for the richest people in the country.

Even the conservative Bill Kristol says he is worried about the Republican's future because it looks really bad when they do not oppose raising the payroll tax, which mostly effects poor people, but they oppose raising taxes on rich people so vigorously that they are willing to let taxes on everyone go up if they don't get their way.

'If the Republicans are not careful', says Kristol,'they will prove very publicly that Democrats are correct when they call us the party of the Rich' and that may be the end of Republican control for a long long time.

You sort of have a decent point. Obama is a better politician than the repubs......so he may be successful in demonizing them. However, the result of his(Obama's) success will be a disaster for the Country..........and in the end.....it will have happened on Obama's watch.

btw,
Why do the teacher unions oppose school vouchers?(freedom of choice)

I covered that on Friday. Don't you remember?

Main reasons are that voucher programs will be disasterous for education.

Remember, I pointed out how you already have freedom of choice, you can send your kid to whatever school you want, but you still have to have some of your tax money go to public education just like people with NO kids still have some of their tax money go to public ed.

Do you know why that is?

It is because your tax money for public schools is not an indidvidual payment for your kids education. It is a payment to support an education system that benefits your entire country, each and every one of us, whether we have kids or not.

If you get to pull your money out of public schools because you want to send your kids to a private school should we also let people who have no kids pull thier money out? What about people whose kids already graduated? Should they be able to pull their money out too?

What will happen to public education if we do that? What will happen to the United States if that happens to public education.

Why not just do away with public education all together and put the U.S. on the fast track to third world status?

I see you dont understand how vouchers would work..........LOL

Everyone pays the same amount..........

The only difference is that you get a choice where you send your kids to school with that money.....

Why wont you tell us why the teachers unions hate the voucher system??????

"Main reasons are that voucher programs will be disasterous for education."

I disagree with the premise of your argument.....so everything else you said is....well..........useless.

I beleive that competition for public education dollars will be the best thing that ever happened to education. The unions may suffer membership and political(election campaign clout).....but after all, "it's for the kids"...is it not?

sooooo, in fact, you didn't answer my question. You gave me a non answer.
We already know that you are a union shill....and that is your right....but that fact does not make you correct..........in fact, it makes you look biased and your flawed reasoning pathetically simplistic.
You are promoting a very bad public education system in the name of union power..........and again.....that is why most people voted against more funding for public education(prop 38).........and that is why teachers will never be paid as much a "good" teachers should be paid.

I do understand how that works, and no not everyone pays the same amount as it is, a percentage of your taxes goes to public ed, regardless of where your children go or if you have children at all.

That is as it should be. Because everyone benefits from public education regardless of where their kids go to school or if they have kids at all.

So should people who do not have kids also get to take thier money out of public education?

What about people whose kids already graduated, should they be able to stop contributing through their taxes to public schools?

Do you not understand that the money to paid to public schools thorough taxes is NOT a payment for your INDIVIDUAL kid but rather a payment to support public education for the good of the country and that every dollar taken out of that system hurts the country?

I find it interesting that Republicans are so quick to do that. You do not have any evidence that I am a teacher or in a Union. Fact of the matter is that I am not a teacher nor am I in a union. But it is so typical of Conservatives to disregard the lack of evidence and simply believe what it suits you to believe regardless (You have no evidence that I am a teacher or in a union but you believe it because it suits you, you have no evidence that tax cuts for the rich help the economy but you believe it because it suits you, you had no valid evidence that Romney would actually win but you believed it becuase it suited you, etc.)

You guys are so funny sometimes.

No, and
No

I beleive in kids having the opportunity to be educated regardless of their economic status....i.e. pulbic education funding(taxation).

I simply do not beleive that the current system works very well.
It needs to be REFORMED.

the teacher unions will not allow reform. That is why they put up $21 million dollars to defeat the voucher initiative back in "2000".

You will not admit that teacher unions are THE problem in regard to public education. Most folks realize that fact.....but alas, you are a moron who cannot admit to anything that doesn't fit your ideology.

You are also a proven liar and a coward.
I know many, many union teachers. You sound like many of the laziest, entitled, greedy bullies that just "want more money".

If it quacks like a duck, and acts like a duck..........it is more than likely a duck.

You must think that average folks are stupid(another whiney union teacher trait).

I see you are a little slow today.........

Everyone (including those without children) will continue to pay the same amount........
Including the huge amount added to most property taxes...

The only difference is that you get to chose what school you spend your share on......

You didn't dissappoint.

I have things to do.........as opposed to someone like you who can type all day in the classroom.....instead of doing your job.
