The dems passed the bill because they thought that renovating our horrible healthcare insurance system was the right thing to do. They wanted those with pre-existing conditions to finally get insurance. They wanted to make sure that insurance companies couldn’t get rid of you if you got a serious illness.

Obamacare was passed. Barely, but it passed. Legally, and democratically. What the Tbaggers tried to do with the budget shutdown and with the debt ceiling threat, was an undemocratic power play, holding our country hostage to their minority led demands.
