The U.S. military has found the body of an adolescent male trapped in a compartment above the landing gear of a C-130 aircraft following a trip to Africa, the Pentagon said on Tuesday.

The Pentagon said the body was found at Ramstein Air Base in Germany during a routine post-flight maintenance inspection on Sunday. The plane traveled from Germany to Senegal, Mali, Chad, Tunisia and Sicily before landing in Ramstein on a trip that lasted just over a week.

"At this point, it is unknown where or when the deceased entered the landing gear wheel well," Kirby said, describing the apparent stow-away as "an adolescent black male, possibly of African origin."

Hmmm, agree!
But it sounds like another job well suited for our "big, bad government," as you conservatives like to call it..

It's going to take more then money to improve conditions on the border. I would like to know what the governments plan is? Are they proposing to allow everyone in and give them amnesty? What happens if we have millions of new citizens without language or work skills?

If they are not proposing amnesty, are they going to deport all of the illegal immigrants? How can they do that on such a large scale?

At this point, I am ready to learn all about the border from your point of view.

Thank you.

The threat of a disease such as ebola making its way to our country is only exacerbated by our low security border arrangements. The fact that our politicians cannot get together to fix this during a time of possible emergency speaks volumes as to why both parties should be summarily removed from office. Democrats and republicans alike are responsible for where we stand today.

SOLUTION already answered that question quite well on a different thread, I believe it has got something to do with the Tpublican Congress refusing to do it's job just to make President OBAMA look bad regardless of the harm to America and it's citizens.

I respectfully disagree with your opinion above.

As History proves, real Democrats and Republicans generally managed to compromise, especially on important issues in times of National emergency.

Our current political problems begun when America elected its first black President BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.

In response, and as a matter of political expediency, the Republican party allowed itself to be infested by an interloping political party, which openly admitted it will not negotiate nor compromise with the President of the United States, National emergency or not.

It is very telling that you did not even mention in your condemnation above the toxic influence of the T Party on our political system.

I agree with you grandpa about Republicans and Democrats compromised in the past. I do not agree that the reason that this has changed is because of our Presidents skin color. This is a red herring that you have put forward on a regular basis but serves to deflect us from what is really going on.

In my opinion, the real reason we have so much distance between the aisles is because both parties have moved in their own extremes. The democrats in total have moved much further to the left then they were even 10 years ago and the republican party has the tea party movement which moves a portion of the party further to the right then they were 10 years ago. The establishment republicans tend to be middle of the road but are not effective because their constituencies are hungry for a more conservative approach.

You won't like my prognosis but over time I think you will see more conservative politicians successfully winning elections and building a presence in our legislature. For his part, President Obama has engaged in politics of separation by using the media to make republicans look as if they are not willing to work with him. On the other hand, Obama's negotiation style has been "my way or nothing" and then degrades to fiat by executive order which raises the rancor of a growing segment of the American people.

The game changer could be the population demographic changes that result from the border crisis. That could empower democrats for a stronger future or it could enrage average Americans and create a tremendous backlash against democrats and establishment republicans. I am 50 / 50 on this one.

The ebola virus outbreak is worsening. Europe is grappling with the best way to respond to protect their populations. Its time for our President to exercise real leadership and order the closure of our border as a precaution. He should mobilize elements of the military to do it and communicate with our neighboring countries to south why we are taking this rather extreme action.

Ebola has only remained in check in the past because it was located in remote villages with limited outside contact and when it starts it kills and incapacitates so quickly that it literally burns itself out. If introduced into our modern world of international jet travel, the results will be unlike any pandemic in the history of mankind.

All flights and population movement coming out of west Africa should be curtailed immediately. All people who have traveled in west Africa in the last 30 days should be contacted and examined by a physician and blood tested for infection.

This disease doesn't care if you are a republican or democrat, it will kill you regardless. This is nothing to fool with and this is the type of situation that sweeping governmental control may in fact be the decider between life and death. The rub is that the right way and the wrong way of administrating the process needs to be the guiding principle, not who can gain political advantage over an adversary.

The repubs have certainly moved to the far-right since Obama was elected. For the first time, the repubs have actually seriously threatened to shut down the government over the debt ceiling and over budget approvals. In fact they HAVE shut down the government over the budget, holding Obamacare as the hostage.

The anti-government tea partiers in the house are forcing congress to be the least productive in history. Is it simply being conservative when our elected repubs refuse to do their jobs? When they refuse to legislate anything, and instead spend all their energy on anti-Obama hearings in order to fund raise from their 'base'?

Democrats, on the other hand, are pretty much the same-- they haven't moved to the far left at all. It just looks like they have to those righties who've moved so far to the right that moderates are now viewed as communists.

Democrats want better gun background checks, as does most of our population. That's certainly not a radical sentiment. Obamacare is a moderate healthcare position, in fact it was the conservative Heritage Foundation that first brought up the idea.

Wanting to spend money to hire private companies to repair our crumbling bridges and roads is a very moderate position, something that both parties have done in the past. The EPA, which protects our water, and air, was instituted by repub president Nixon. The EPA was never an agency either party wanted to disband-- until now. The same goes for the Dept. of Education, Dept. of Energy, etc., etc.

Wanting to repair our illegal immigration problem was something that repubs McCain, Rubio, Jeb Bush, and many others were for-- until the tea party and talk radio made them flip flop to being against.

The scientific fact of climate change was accepted by a large portion of repubs, until talk radio and Big Energy made them change their tunes. It is NOT liberal extremism to recognize what the scientists have been telling us about our warming earth for the last 20 years.

Obama didn't 'use the media to make republicans look like the wouldn't cooperate'-- the media (except for Fox, Limbaugh, et al) simply reported the reality. The repubs were NOT working with him, in fact they were doing everything possible to block him in every situation, just as McConnell had promised the day Obama took office.

Obama gave into the repubs during the first debt ceiling crisis. Later, Obama agreed to the Sequester. But Obama has found that the repubs simply will not work with him. They won't even pass bills that they had first initiated-- simply because Obama now agreed with these laws.

By doing nothing about immigration reform, while actually denigrating Hispanics with their comments, the repubs ARE digging themselves into a big hole. They have no one to blame but themselves.

This issue is a breach in military security. Where and when did the adolescent male get on the plane? Authorities stated Tuesday that they don't know -- though the fact that the aircraft stopped in parts of Africa now dealing with a deadly Ebola outbreak raises cause for concern.
The C-130 was "supporting Africa Command operations" during its various stops.Since taking off from Ramstein, the C-130 had stopped in Senegal, Mali, Chad, Tunisia and Italy over an eight-day stretch, said Air Force spokeswoman Erika Stecker.

You are absolutely correct in stating that this disease respects no political ideologies and that we must combat it in the right way in order to minimize it's damage.

The same thing applies to the many other issues affecting Americans today, ranging from the economy to health care all the way to climate and the state of our crumbling infrastructure.

It is incumbent upon ALL of our representatives to internalize that fact and compromise for the sake of the common good, rather than engage in political one-upmanship geared towards the next election cycle.

In an ominous warning as fatalities mounted in West Africa from the worst known outbreak of the Ebola virus, the head of the World Health Organization said on Friday that the disease was moving faster than efforts to curb it, with potentially catastrophic consequences including a “high risk” that it will spread.

Workers and officials, blamed by panicked populations for spreading the virus, have been threatened with knives, stones and machetes, their vehicles sometimes surrounded by hostile mobs. Log barriers across narrow dirt roads block medical teams from reaching villages where the virus is suspected. Sick and dead villagers, cut off from help, are infecting others.

“This is very unusual, that we are not trusted,” said Marc Poncin, the emergency coordinator in Guinea for Doctors Without Borders, the main group fighting the disease here.“We’re not stopping the epidemic.”

Efforts to monitor it are grinding to a halt because of “intimidation,” he said. People appear to have more confidence in witch doctors.

What will happen, you ask? Its pretty simple, actually. Realistically, Obama could give two shit.s about those people but... If he lets them in the left will have millions of new low info voters who will, in turn get on welfare, EBT whatever handout they can get and then vote Democrat because they are "victims", that's why the left wants them here.

What will happen ? More revenue will be needed to support the victims adding to the national debt and more taxes disproportionately expected of those who actually pay taxes.

Then you are agreeing that in Light of a Do Nothing Republican Tea Bagger Congress, President Obama MUST ACT via Executive Orders for the sake of the Nation.

All the while you complain about the President not being able to do anything you SUE him for executing Executive Orders to accomplish the business of the American people.

Your Logic is skewed at best!
