Excellent question!

I would feel the opposite of what I felt in 2000 ....

Would that be what is known as poetic justice...????

That is along the lines of what I have heard from other liberals whom I have asked the question of. I wonder what conservatives would think. Thanks for your response!

Wishful thinking on someone's part.
Romney has begun his climb to winning it all.
The days of the blame game, excuses, and distorting the truth are over.
nObama has failed us all with bad policy that has lowered our standing in the world...and.......has added 6 trillion dollars to the national debt in the process.
He has been a lousy CEO of America, and he needs to be let go.
Sad but true.
and oh.....nothing personal.

I appreciate your opinion but it is not wishful thinking on my part. I think that Obama could win the popular vote, but I think his chance in the Electoral College is even better. It is entirely possible Obama could win the Electoral College vote but not the popular vote. I would enjoy reading your response to my original question, if you are so inclined. Thank you.

TSQ,

Most so called conservatives are horrified at the thought of President Barack Obama being re-elected in the first place...

After all, President Obama's visage does not quite match the shade of that of former US Presidents... but.... ah, to quote someone, "nothing personal" you understand....

Therefore the scenario which you proposed where Romney wins the popular vote and President OBAMA wins the Electoral College would be a conservative's worst nightmare...

You will probably not get an honest answer from conservatives because they want to spend the next couple of months wallowing in their fantasy of a Romney win...

I hope to hear from them on it. I want to know how they would feel. And it's a very real possibility, too. Thanks for your comment!

It does not seem likely you are about "to hear from them on it" as the possibility of your scenario occurring terrifies "them" to no end....

However, if your scenario does come to pass, I fear that certain elements of the "well regulated militia" might take matters into their own hands and cause some mischief before they are taken down... so let's hope reason prevails.

I hope I am wrong but Judging from the amount of sheer hate directed by "them" towards President Obama during the last 4 years, I do expect an unordinary amount of voting fraud on "their" part which will make Florida 2000 appear like a walk in the park.

This fellow here seems to have an interesting, although not a totally infallible idea to prevent such occurrences...

Are the values upon which this great nation were founded completely foreign to you?

Do you realize that there is NOTHING, not a single thing you could say, that would be more UN-AMERICAN that what you just said?

And by the way, Obama is leading in national polls as well as in the the three main swing states.

"Obama leads Republican challenger Mitt Romney 50%-43% in Ohio, according to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll. No Republican has ever won a presidential election without winning Ohio.

Other NBC/WSJ/Marist polls put Obama ahead 49%-44% in both Florida and Virginia."

"The numbers track with those in national polls; USA TODAY's Susan Page reported today that Obama leads Romney 50%-44% in the latest Gallup daily tracking poll."

But don't worry you un-American little retard, the liberals will hold up American values and not punish you and your fellow low information voters for making a poor choice at the ballot box, because unlike you people, apperantly, Liberals actually agree with and defend the values upon which this great nation was founded.
