The paper goes to press at about 7:00 pm and since the accident didn't happen until 6:00 pm there would not have been time for it to make the paper. Also, the paper is printed in Chico.

There was very little coverage about this in any of the papers, actually. No fatalities is my guess as to why. Worth noting that it was probably caused by texting/cell use. But NOOOOOO -- we don't need those stupid laws, do we.

Grrrr.

It seems every day we read about drivers drifting off the road, over-correcting, losing control, and bam! Wake-up people, turn-off your cell phones, keep your hands on the wheel, and stay on the fracking roads. If your negligence doesn't kill you, you might have to live with the moral and financial consequences of injuring or killing others. If you do run off the road often your best bet is to keep driving straight ahead while braking and driving into the ditch. The last thing you want to do is jerk the wheel to the left in a futile attempt to get back on track as you will likely send the vehicle into a spin and into oncoming traffic.

It is called staffing, no staff to place it as soon as it happens.

They are just like everyone else in business, money is required to hire people, simple answer but true.

Yes now we need laws preventing people from changing the radio station or adjusting the heater while driving... Its all so dangerous...! Nothing causes accidents besides idiotic tendencies or a lack of attention...!

I'll bet there was a cell phone involved in this accident. If there was a way to prove it, then the fines and sentences should be very high. I was sitting in a parking lot a few days ago in my car and in just about 5 minutes I saw 4 people using cell phones while driving. People are just ignoring the law. Where are the cops??
