there are two bills before the governor for her to sign one or the other. Senate bill 1272 and House bill 2941. Pseudoephedrine is used in making meth.
Mow what I don't understand is there is already a bill in play for this very thing. Each time you go in for this allergy-sinus product you have to go the pharmacy counter and ask for it. Then you have to show ID and it is looked up to see when was the last time you bought this product. Yesterday I bought a box of Claritin-D with 10 pills. I will not be allowed to buy this type of product any where in the state of Oklahoma for 9 days. So what more should the government ask honest people to give up for the dishonest people in this country? I would say if it is still a big problem here in Oklahoma then the dishonest people are getting it across the boarder or on the black market. The government should be looking at how to stop this activity.

This bill will only allow a person to buy 260 pills a year. They will be keeping track if you buy a product withe Pseudoephedrine in any other state. This is not good for people that take something like this almost every day. There is 365 days in a year and this bill will allow you to buy the pills for 24 hours 260 days. Now what will people do about the 105 days you are not allowed to buy this product. The product is sold 10 pills to a box now. You are now only allowed to buy it every 9 days. You have to get it thru a pharmacy and you have to show ID and sign for it. They were wanting to make everyone to have to get a prescription for this product whether you have to use it for allergies or once in awhile for the common cold. This new bill tends to piss me off.

I think this is a good thing! Meth is Destroying families on every aspect. It is costly to clean labs up, costly sending children to foster care, costly sending people to prison. Yes it may be unfair for people who do not abuse it like myself but to see our state of oklahoma clean up I will gladly not boo hoo! Yeah Oklahoma stay on top of this devil drug~
