I knew kyle he was a best friend of mine. He was always so sweet, we lost contact for awhile but i never thiught he was a violent person.

i wonder how his mental health was. we as oklahomans should do a better job in this category. then we wouldn't have to have so many jails. costs much less to help with the mentally ill than to encarcerate them. very sad.

Mental health facilities are a dying breed. There's no budget for them in today's economy.

well, we do actually have plenty of mental health facilities.....we call them prisons.

i worked in a high level security prison with a capacity of 1200

there were 3 to 500 of the guests of the state who were on some type of psychotropic drug :(

Alycia the way you take a "sweet" guy and turn him into a cold blooded murderer is to give him an antidepressant or a drug to stop smoking. If you Google drugawareness and go to a video we have on our site of Michael Moore talking about the real cause of Columbine you will get an idea of what I mean.
Then you can Google ssristories and see thousands of cases like this - complete out of character violent crimes - right in your own backyard and mine. This is an international holocaust!
PCP is the most similar drug we have ever seen to these so called "antidepressants" so it should not surprise us to see the horribly violent crimes we now see.
Someone needs to find out what prescription meds Kyle was taking.

I have been taking antidepressants since 1970. I have never killed anyone or even thought of killing someone. They have helped me live a normal life.

antidepressants are like any other drug.....some work, some don't. they are as individual as the people who take them.

the new drugs are very much an improvement of the old tricyclics.

having said that, there definitely are some that need a second look. in a lot of instances, it's just a lot easier for some docs to write out a rx than actually find out what's wrong with someone
