Why is there a news black-out on this trial? What has been happening? Who is being protected, certainly not the kids or Gretchen?

I, too, wonder about the lack of news? But aren't we considered innocent until proven guilty in this country?

Here is a little update - As of 6/4/07 the jury has been in deliberations. It is 06/06/07 8:53 Alaska time. Derek had one witness ( a suiside expert ) and the proscution had about 15 or so. The trial has been one wrot of emotions. The Anchorage Daily News is not covering the trial, but once the verdict is out, they will most likely have a story in the paper. Gakona, Alaska is not 'hot' news to the rest of the state, country, or the world.

I lived in Glennallen until Aug 1997, I worked with Gretchen at Park's Place. How did you know her?

I was her neighbor in Gakona. I had forgotten she worked at parks place. I am just thankful its over.
