gym teacher fired

The gym teacher at Finley Jr High was fired. Why?

I heard he resigned.

he was suppose to stay until the end of the year-but he is gone now- the kids states they were told he was let go.

I heard the kids were protesting. Both my kids had him. I thought he was great. Another one bites the dust at Finley. First it was Palowski, then McDonald now Ritzma. They were all great! What is this Supertendent thinking? Or is it the School Board?

I have two children in Finley and they told me what happened, so remember this is second hand from kids.
Two children were name calling in gym class, and to break it up he threw out a few choice names of his own. He supposedly said 'gay fags'? This was reported and led to his dismissal.

Oh no...thats not what happened. From what I understand there were comments made about an administrator. Students were not called names! This has nothing to do with hurting children.

What is going on in our schools, a couple weeks ago it was the knife thing, and now a teacher was fired, sounds liek the school board has been busy.

What I heard from my child was he was asking a young girl where she lived, as if he was interested in her in a different way. Kids thought it was not right. Also heard the "F*G" remarks.

Again, this had NOTHING to do with hurting children. Perhaps there was conflict with administration. It had nothing to do with children!

I just am. No way to prove it to you. No, its not just a feeling I have. Kids were protesting, standing up for him, I dont think they would do that if he was calling them names. A good teacher lost to another district, again.

I agree with BEV- What my daughter told me it was said about administrator.He made the comment about administrator the to one of student.Whi reported to the principle. Kids were protesting by not bring in their uniforms for gym. they also were going to try a get a pettion together but i don't think that went any where.

this is not what happened, what happened was the gym teacher pulled out a gun and scremed "elimination dodge ball!" and shot a few rounds at the ceiling as all the kids chucked dodge balls at each hoping to be the winner, he was fired for that.

It is happpening again..........another teacher being removed. Again nothing to do with doing a bad job or saying things to kids. Just the principal doesnt like them and out they go.

Some one needs to do something over there. 5 dissappearances in less than 3 years. Something is wrong.

another teacher removed because she disagreed with "THE HAM". if anyone has a Napoleon complex it is her, and she has to let everyone know that "Finley is a blue ribbon school". BFD, some of the teachers don't teach, they assign homework and projects, e.g. Vacaitis.
