My name is Gossip.
I have no respect for justice.
I maim without killing.
I break hearts and ruin lives.
I am cunning and malicious and gather strength with age.
The more I am quoted the more I am believed.
My victims are helpless. They cannot protect themselves against me because I have no name and no face.
To track me down is impossible. The harder you try, the more elusive I become.
I am nobody’s friend.
Once I tarnish a reputation, it is never the same.
I topple governments and wreck marriages.
I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights, heartaches and indigestion. I make innocent people cry in their pillows.
Even my name hisses. I am called Gossip.
I make headlines and headaches.
Before you repeat a story, ask yourself:
Is it true?
Is it harmless?
Is it necessary?
If it isn’t, don’t repeat it.

Is the Village Gossip that you are referring to a person or a thing? Most of us are not good with riddles.

So the village board is or is not behind the Lindberg kidnapping?(I think they are and that's what the feds are really checking into)
Speaking of behind(s) Just Moo-ved Aweigh is not the inspiration for the Big Butt song?
We don't need Cassie's helocopters and two take home cars to get on her good side? KDM?
JimmyW did or did not threaten to close the fest down next year? Burp!
We posters need to be EdUucated. It's the stark reality of living in Da Ridge folks. TTFN

I agree that any wasted time by Village employees needs to stop. Completely. The political circus can't just keep rolling on thinking that "a sucker is born every minute".

I think that process is under way. I see a lot of attention being given to this by the Board and Village management. The place has been run like a country club for years, under the domain of a Mayor who is clueless about management and has surrounded himself with people who either totally believed him or also totally did not get it.

At the same time, I think it is important to acknowledge forward momentum where we see it. There are budget cuts coming. Big-salary dead weight has already been retired. More dead weight is about to be dropped. Some should go for just for performance issues but "budget cuts" are good enought. Others should just go. This world is no place for flunkies.

I would like to see not only gripes posted here, but success stories as well. Everybody needs encouragement. This can not just become a fiction fest with all the usual characters checking in. And if there are gripes, they need to be specific instead of general swipes at everything.

They can't fix it if they don't know about it, and people running around saying that "all is bad" can be quite disheartening to people who have received the message that they need to fix the problems, and who are trying to do just that.

Why is it that Chicago Ridge denies a business license for a trucking company that will make tax money for the rest of the village? A few Chicago ridge residents living across from the site a trucking company has operated at since March get to dictate to the rest of us? The place was always factory now it will be a vacancy. Good judgement. Will they pay for the legal fees when the village gets sued too?

Don't believe the hype. When Brad needs his dirty work done he sends in his goon squad of Gorilla Head, Plastic Bag Man, and Jimmy O to do it.
He controls them with free beer and greasy appetizers. They don't fool me for a minute.
Brad is their evil puppet master. He is pulling their strings like a mad scientist.
Moo Girl, AKA Just Moo-vede Aweigh, tried to expose this very true story. She even threatened to send JimmyO after us but we knew she really didn't have the influence over him. She did turn real quick and knocked poor JimmyO into orbit AND knocked Red off his bar stool at the Legion.
The worst thing was threatening to post bikini pictures. Ye Gads man, what a world.
Please Brad, help us in our time of need and long live JimmyO.
