We have been with out a building inspector for how long now? With all the buildings going up around town you would think our great mayor would be actively interviewing people to fill this position. Could it be he was in Florida for the past month and a half? With how long its been I’m expecting some guy from N.A.S.A. Did we go nation with this search?

Perhaps he will give the job to Ed S. I really like what he did to his house, it's still a shithole. He helped get the new trustee elected. It's only logical to make a job for him.

Big gossip is there are only 2 or 3 people posting just changing names. Best I heard was 2 sides posting here. People/person against the current office holders and people/person for them. Sometimes it's funny sometimes not. But you probably already know that Fuzzy Math or is it_______, or _______, or______? We will never know. I just might be answering myself. Or is it Mandingo?

Are you toying with other readers and contributors by saying you are responding to yourself over and over and then adding in the idea that you could be the only contributor? I have contributed a number of my observations to this forum. I have also responded to others only when I thought I could add to the discussion. I have not responded to my own postings. Like you I am not expected to use my own name but I have seen "observer" used by others. I do agree that circling up the discussions by answering yourself under another "Name" is juvenile, and does defeat the purpose of this whole forum idea. The point you raise makes me think that all of us might be wasting out time.

Summary: 2 factions at war in this town. We don't know how many poster toasters are on each side. Many more anti-current administration than for them. Take a shot at the other side by "Is is true what I heard........".
Will say this. Read the postings from other towns and compare with ours.
I have a quick question. Who is the coach from Oak lawn and who is the Principal from the Ridge?

I thought I would look at another towns postings and most of them head into homophobia fast but I liked this one from Antioch: have been reading posts on this site for a couple of weeks after being told about it by a friend. What I've read has ammused me at times and quite honestly, scared me at others. One thing I have noticed is that almost every post is veiled behind the anonymity of the internet. Here is what I propose; I don't want to hear about old mayors, old board members and old promises. What I do want, to start, is a list of the FIVE most pressing issues in Antioch right now. That's all for now, nothing else! And to back up what I said before, here's who I am: My name is Steve Stanek and I do live in Antioch. If you want to talk about something I say here, look me up, i'm in the book. I'm perfectly able to listen to reason and might even be swayed by something you say but don't count on it. Just kidding. Only list the top five items that are confronting Antioch TODAY! I don't want to discuss it with anyone until we have a few posts. And just for the record, if you want to hide behind a made up name, that's fine, but at least you know who I am! 1. Road conditions 2. From what I understand, Antioch is currently over budget. 3. Why does almost everything that goes into a sewer drain end up in the chain of lakes? 4. Schools and funding. 5. A more harmonious village voice. There you go, my top five for now. They may not be spelled correct, but I really don't care. Give me yours and I'll listen to what you have to say. Il:
