In the suburbs of Pennsylvania there used to be and probably still is a haunted hayride where Jason the scary guy with the hockey masks climbs around the cage that of the wagon revving up his chainsaw. I was 12 at the time but I was scared.

I drank at the Red Lion several times during my five years in the Windy City, and suffice it to say, the scariest things there were the staircase (hence the renovation) and the ladies' room. Never any toilet paper. Never.

You won't get any cooperation from the people at what was once the Biograph Theater. It's my understanding they have obliterated every vestiage of the Dillinger connection, including the seat where he watched his last move. Last summer, we contacted the public relations person because we had people from out-of-town who wanted to see the Biograph and didn't even get a reply. I found this ironic since it is the Dillinger connection which gives the building its historical status.

Well this is certainly going to change the way I look at some of these places on my next visit. Nice feature. And how timely, a few weeks ahead of Halloween.

There's this large structure at 1060 W. Addison St. that's been haunted for almost a century now...

Oh Wait, not haunted. Just cursed.

Never mind.

I agree with Blasphemer. Chicago has a decent ghost hunting scene, but if you're a true ghost hunter, NYC is the place to be.

Try Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas! I know someone who was heading out to western Ne. and saw a pioneer woman dressed in black walking in a wheat field. This is in the middle of nowhere!

The Tribune slideshow is off; the Excalibur was never used as a morgue. Stories that it's haunted are, like many of these, just stories someone made up in the 1970s that became a marketing gimmick.

I have yet to go to any of these places, but, I can say this, I am called SpiritWalker for a reason.
And I have experienced mant Spirits with in my years on this earth.
I can tell you now if I visit a place that they say is haunted, I wlll tell you if it is or not.

All these make shift equipment that they use on these paranormal shows are gobblety gook, for you and experience a spirit and it not even read on one of these so called meters.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Cancer

Be careful today Cancer, because your emotions could cloud certain issues as they often to and leave you feeling confused. You should be especially wary of believing what you want to believe, rather than believing the evidence in front of your eyes. It's easy to kid yourself now about someone's motives or reliability, even if deep down you know that you're telling yourself a load of old twaddle.
