I really do not think Obama will jeopardize his credibility for Daley. He put them all on notice. It's out of his hands. Chicago is really looking a mess nationally and perhaps when Obama returns it will be a better Chicago. We must start thinking positive.

I thought civil service testing has become pretty much of a joke anyway due to "affirmative action" rulings. But maybe what Sanchez is accused of doing is analogous to rigging slot machines.

Wrongo! This is who (or should I say what) controls both Daley and Obama:

It should be noted that Obama doesn't even make a good puppet. His strings are to visable. Maybe that's what he means by transparancy.

My brother was a former driver for Streets and Sanitation. His overtime was eliminated when he refused to become an active paying member of the HDO. My father was offered a job with the Water Dept. All he had to do was contribute $2,000 to the HDO.He was promoted two weeks later w/o his $2,000 donation.(Shakedown) I was also offered a job with CPS. I was told I could teach in any CPS school that I wanted to teach in. All I had to do was...you know the routine...become an active paying member of HDO. Needless to pay, I mean say, I don't teach in the city.

Well, da! Did you ever stop to think that because you are not from Illinois that you would not have been working for the City of Chicago anyway! And as far as your family goes, they should be investigated for working for the City of Chicago when they live in Indiana. I'm sure your father is happy with his job! What the hell are you bitching about! Your brother's overtime was eliminated due to the fact that he was a lazy ass. Most employees that do good for the City of Chicago were granted overtime. It has nothing to do with contributing to HDO or being a member. What do you teach? Kindergarden?

Having lived in Chicago until 4 years ago NRA has it exactly right.. it's not WHAT you know in Chicago it's WHO you know and how MUCH you'll pay, just what do you know your coming in from TX.. by the way use spell checker, you look like you could use a Kindergarten computer class yourself. by the way it does have much to do with which group you contribute to and Daley and his clowns will dictate which group they want you to support.
