There goes what little home value we had left. How can I sell my house when I tell the buyer I live near a homeless shelter. No wonder all the other communties in the South Suburbs voted against it. Not the almighty Mayor Welch. Tell him to finish the Fire Station before he takes on any new projects.

Have you ever volunteered at PADS? The people who use PADS sites do not pose a danger and need somewhere to sleep. There are families who use the shelter and a permanent shelter would provide more stability for the kids. I think it's great that CC Hills is allowing this. God will bless him.

I LIVE IN CCH AND THIS IS JUST DEAD WRONG. HOW IN THE HELL WOULD THE MAYOR ALLOW THIS? I AM REALLY TRYING TO MOVE AT THIS MOMENT BECAUSE OF THE CRIME AND THE DIFFERENT BRAND OF PEOPLE THAT ARE NOW RESIDING IN CCH AND HE GOES AND DO THIS? WHO IN THE HELL VOTED FOR HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE? I KNOW I SURE IN THE HELL DIDN'T. WELL THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD.

I am so glad tht the CCH mayor did this! I, for one, am tired of seeing the homelss walking around Chicago Heights! If you go out at night, you can see these homeless wrecks looking like zombies. Most are drunks and stink to high heaven!I dont mind helping those who truly are down on their luck but I have seen the same homeless bums walking around, begging for change, urinating on sides of buildings for several years! They pack into our library and hang out all day, bothering tax paying citezens who go there to check out books!please mayor welcher, keep taking in more south side bums!Maybe they can do yard work on your home instead of you using city employees! God bless you mayor! Keep taking in the trash!
