Has anyone had any dealings with this group? Channel 4 is coming out here today to do an investigative piece on them. I am hearing terrible things about them. Elk City deserves better!

It's not like they'll release any info. I'm sorry, they probably are bad, but for that woman to use people's sympathy for her daughter in this way is wrong. NOBODY will provide what she considers enough care. Other hospices have told her the same thing. She's in a hard place, and they just need to let the girl pass peacefully. A private duty nurse is what they need.

And before anybody talks about the cost, nurses have volunteered their time, and she could probably get enough donations to pay for one too.

They can afford a private duty nurse but can't find one. Their level of incompetence has been shocking!

People have openly volunteered their time at no charge. It must not be that much of a priority to them.

You must work for them.

Actually I don't. I'm not even a medically trained person. I just have common sense. SEVERAL hospices have told them they would provide the same quality of care. It is what it is.

So from what I saw they messed up her cath. They can only do so much as far as pain meds are concerned or they'll kill the girl. Even the other hospice confirmed that. And quite honestly, with bad road conditions, unless it's somebody that requires around the clock care, they will wait. No need in somebody else dying correct?

One should expect no less from a hospice affilated with bullshit religion.

I can assure you they have NOT turned down any help and have looked for private nurses. Why would anyone turn down help in that situation? I KNOW better than that!

Obviously your on the inside of hospice somehow or you wouldn't know what every hospice is saying now would you? And while they were there they should have checked he catheter and it would have more than likely been ok when the snow storm hit. Nobody is asking for sympathy just prayers and a hospice that actually gives a shit. And don't worry about what my mom (Perisha) or any of the rest of my family can afford. What we choose to do does not pertain to you nor anyone else. The team nesha page is to update people about how she is not to have everyone tell Perisha what she should do and how she should care for her

I used Faith Hospice with several family members in the past few years and they were nothing but professional and made the last few months with my family members wonderful. My heart goes out to the young girl and her family but I find it hard to believe that hospice is letting her be in pain. As the lady on television stated not every bit of pain can be controlled. It seems like mom realizes she is losing the battle of cancer and is grasping for attention. It is sad for all involved. I wish hospice were able to tell their side if the story but im sure HIPPA keeps them from doing so. I'm praying for all involved!

Just curious- if an 11 year old CHILD battling terminal cancer doesn't need round the clock care then who does?
I'm sure people are volunteering time but that just means when they can! That does NOT cover 24 hours a day! I pray for this girl and her family every single night and she deserves to be cared for properly!!!!!!

I agree I think the mother loves the Hype! We want a Prom! We want a Million roses! As a mom she should be with her daughter every moment possible and not worry about "let's get on news channel4" she needs to cherish the moments that she has left-just my opinion!
