The primary cause of migraine is constipation. The medical establishment ignores this. It's a crime.

I've been having migraines with aura for about three years. I pray for a healing every day of my life. Cardiovascular disease runs in my family's veins and the fear I feel is paralyzing. My father died of a heart attack at 42. My mother died from complications of gallbladder surgery at 33. I am depressed all the time and all I can think about is my death. I am overweight, and miserable. If you hear of a cure, please let me know!

1 I have had aura migraines for as long as I can remember, way back to my childhood. Over the years, "cures" came and went and came back again. Imitrex by injection has changed/saved my life and given me something that takes away the pain in minutes. When I began getting daily headaches, I began treatment with botox injections around the hairline, jaws and down the side of my head that the headaches occur in. Haven't had a migraine more than once every 2-3 months, and I strongly recommend it for anyone who has not had success with more traditional methods. It has its dangers and possible adverse side affects, but if it works without any problems, go for it. If you haven't seen a neurologist, see one soon. |

If the migraines and/or lesions don't adversely affect our brains, the damn narcotics handed out like candy sure as Hell do.

1 Narcotics are no longer the drug of choice for migraines, unless the person with the headache is not able to take the migraine-specific medications now in common use. Any migraine sufferer will tell you that the narcotics don't kill the pain, they just make you not care anymore. Usually, the headache is still there after the medication wears off. Imitrex and other migraine-specific medications stop the migraine, usually within 10-20 minutes and the headache does not return. |

If you're praying for healing every day, why not listen to the answers? Go to a doctor, start on a diet and exercise program, doesn't have to be a big deal....start walking around your neighborhood every day. A journey of a thousand miles begins with....the first step. |

1 Diet and exercise are very important in treatment. Specifically, if you have migraine you must avoid all foods with chemical additives (msg, chemical flavors, colors, preservatives, etc.). It's one of the first things a doctor will tell you to do. Daily exercise is just as important. When I have a migraine, I feel toxic. That feeling goes away when I cleanse my body by eating only fresh food and exercise enough to sweat visibly. I know I sound like a know-it-all about this, but I've had migraines since early childhood (approximately 55 years) and no one passed this kind of information along to me as it was discovered and documented. I found it out on my own, thanks to the internet. Just trying to pass it on to others. |

No, no, no - never exercise when you have a migraine. You'll probably kill someone with that amount of adrenaline in your system. All kidding aside, exercise is one of the things you can do to prevent the headaches. It causes your system to cleanse itself through sweat. And yes, glasses that are the wrong prescription can certainly cause really bad headaches. If your headaches last as long as 10 days, you might try finding a neurologist who administers botox into the head, neck and/or face to paralyze the muscles to prevent spasms. That can be one cause of many. I've been getting the injections for 6 years; no more daily headaches. As a matter of fact, right now I have the first migraine in 4 months. And yes, insurance will pay as long as it's administered by a neurologist. Also try Imitrex or similar drugs. I use injection Imitrex - one shot and the headaches stop within a short time. Don't worry, the syringes are loaded into a spring gizmo and you really don't have to do anything but press the "pen" against the skin and push a button. Nothing to it. I'll pray for you - sometimes that's all you can do. Good luck. |
