Restaurants' opposition might stop gun bill in House

Do restaurant owners have more clout than law-enforcement officers with Ohio lawmakers? The Ohio Senate easily passed legislation yesterday to allow people with concealed-carry permits to take their guns into bars, restaurants, arenas, museums and other areas where alcohol is served - as long as they don't drink. Niko is one of those guys that thinks the cops will save him. I was shot and return firing killing two vermin in Gary Indiana in 1986. All the cops did was create more paper work. Cornor was all that was needed.
Of course because the only way humanly possible to defend yourself is with a gun. That makes you a coward in my book. I always learned to fight with my fists!

When they first passed CCW, opponents said "oh it will be like the wild west..everyone carrying guns" well..the only wild west I see is still only coming from the criminal element. I havent seen any "shootouts on main street". The news is not full of stories of CCW holders blasting away at anything that moves. So once again..a new amendment..opponents are gonna say "oh, its not safe to eat out now that everyone will be packing" and again..nothing will really be any different. Relax.

Good for you niko, so how about a 96 year old woman? You think she will win with fists verses a 210 pound 17 yhear old black on crack? My money is on the 60 year old woman with a gun over you and your fists. Feel free to call her a coward from hell after she stamps your ticket with hot lead.

Kind of hard to get into a fist fight when your carrying a 2 year old and holding a five year olds hands.

Besides which, I'm less likely to have to fire the fun than I am to end up with somebody in hospital from an altercation.

I'm sure in a fair fight I have a better than average chance, but criminals don't like a level playing field.
