This a hole is the classic example of a politician who only cares about himself. And I'm a big republican saying this.

It is quite obvious that this should not be allowed! It is also obvious that it was a planned election ploy to keep the office in one party's hands! If person "A" runs for office "B" and is elected, then they serve or don't serve, this should not be left up to any particular political party to decide who gets the office. A prompt change of state law should be enacted to seat the person who received the second highest total of votes in the election.

For the record, Diane didn't "hold up" the budget process over the airport earmark. She voted no, they removed the earmark, and she and Tim filed a writ of mandamus. The budget passed on time, without her yes vote, and the Supreme Court declined to force the House and Senate to restore the earmark. Her actions exiled her in the Ohio House, making her completely ineffective to accomplish anything for Geauga County. She fought some good fights, but this wasn't one of them. I find it hard to believe she'd want to come back to Columbus, unless she's looking for OHP rides during snow storms.
