Why does the Dispatch keep saying drug drop at the governor's residence when it was cigarettes? Sounds like the Dispatch wants to create drama and make it sound more serious.

The dummy wants to do things his way. Never mind the will of the people.
If he wasn't going to carry forward on his committments, why doesn't he just quit altogether.
Hope he doesn't trip over his own two feet. He might crack the floor with that hard head of his.

Anyone open to IMPEACHMENT? Maybe these elected officials should do the PEOPLE'S BUSINESS over their own personal and corporate business.

So Grendell doesn't get that running for 2 offices at the same time so he can hand pick his wife to hold one for him might be unethical?
He did not "run" for 2 offices at the same time. He is in the middle of a 4 year term in the Ohio Senate and was elected in 2008 and will be up again in 2012. He ran for US House in 2010 and after winning, changed his mind.

Furthermore, the Democrats are even worse at this. When Carnahan died prior to the election in Missouri, the democrat party said "vote for the dead guy and our govenor will appoint his wife to US senate". The dead guy won, and the democrat governor appointed his wife Jean Carnahan to the senate.

"Despite having two years left on his Senate term, Grendell chose to run for the 98th House District to prolong his legislative career. He won handily, but later chose to remain in the Senate after, he said, the options for replacing him were not conservative enough"

Who's zommin' who?!?!?! The common guys out here KNOW that this Grendell is just a political hack looking for his next public paycheck. These type of nincompoops couldn't deliver a honest day of work if their lives depended on it. Instead, they spend their entire adult life living off of good taypayers like us. What a waste of space.

Simply tragic..........
Sorry but the republican party is right in that Grendell should take the US House seat.

The republicans are a stand up group with a rogue Grendell who they are chastising.

The biggest lying politician in the US is President Obama.

Typical Republicans. Arrogant, Deceitful and Corrupt. They haven't even been sworn into absolute power yet and their corruption is already bubbling up. Just wait. This next all-Republican cycle will make the Bush-Taft years look nostalgic.
Nope, more like typical republicans being up front and honest.

It is the republican party standing up to Grendell AND REFUSING TO APPOINT HIS WIFE.

This is very unlike the Missouri democrats who said "vote for the dead guy Carnahan and we will appoint his wife to the seat for US Senate."

...and he did all this on State Letterhead, on "state" time, using a state-paid secretary to type it, and mostly likely with tax payer dollars to mail it.... Just considering this one tantrum he is throwing, and not all the others, I wonder if we added all that up all that tax payer dollars wasted on his tantrum what it would come to:
1) State Letterhead:$1
2) State paid secretarail time at appox.$15/hr:$30
3) tax funded copies made:$5
4) tax funded postage:$2
5) State Senator wage approx.$60,000/yr
TOTAL tax dollars wasted:$38 +$60K

Seeing the state GOP finally tell him he has screwed over the good people of this great state for the LAST TIME...

...PRICELESS

Thank you Kevin Dewine for standing up for us - the honest and good-hearted people trying to raise a family here who get hurt by selfish and controlling people like Grendell.

"The question that many of my constituents are asking is: Why does the Republican Party continue to abuse Sen. Grendell when he is the one who continues to do so much for the people?" (Key to understanding this quote: "people" = Sen. Grendell).

I originally intended to slam the Senator, but find I cannot. He is so blatantly unashamed and upfront about his naked ambition that I actually find myself admiring him for it. Rather than deny the obvious, that he will seek do that which is best for Timothy Grendell, he revels in it, without apology. That this career politician, never before short on hubris, should be able to ascend so brazenly to such a new dizzying height of arrogance, is inspiring.

American democracy is irreparably broken. It has bankrupted the American Dream. The "System" is all about preserving itself now, and those who have the most to gain from fixing it have ceded all power to those who have the most to lose should it be fixed.
Wake up zombie losers. Soft money, lobbyists, the two party system, and PACs bought and paid for your government.
