Sorry, my bad, I meant Strickland. Don't know where Rhoads came from.

Oh I've read them and I believe some of it is true. He needs to get rid of the inmates at his house. The point is, no other news channel has found this news worthy. It's just another one of Channel 10's efforts to create news where there isn't any.

I'd like to know what prompted Director of Public Safety Cathy Collins-Taylor to suggest to Chief Dicken to warn the lady instead of arresting her when she made the drop? Hmmmmm?

Does anyone with half a brain and some intelligence not realize that Teddy Bear said "yo Cathy, It's an election year ya know, me don't think it too good of an idea for some sting operation going down at my house.... ya know what I'm sayin lady? So, let's call this off for now yo, I need to get re-elected."

So Cathy obviously doesn't have the balls to say no to that, she can't really cause she's APPOINTED by Teddy Bear. So she say sure and tells Chief Dicken, "yo Chief, ya needs to call off that stupid sting ya gots going on there at Teddy's ranch... it don't look good on his resume if ya know what I'm sayin yo..."

So what the hillbeans is Chief Dicken gonna do? Say NO to Cathy and Teddy? Course not, he CANT. He's APPOINTED too.

There's nothing else to it ladies. It was all political and right now what we have are some lame excuses why it didn't go down.

Where these inmates were getting drugs or contraband it doesn't matter. They are not supposed to take it into the prison. And why someone would stop this investigation is, well make your own mind up. But, Jello Teddy knew what was going on. This has nothing to do with officer safety and everything to do with him being reelected, and inmates not being arrested at his house. Just think about the unqualified people and straight out criminals he had put into office on our dime. Jello Teddy is always explaining to us the he didn't know what was going on, your the man running the show. Quit use excuses. Your time is almost up, HOW WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED, Jello man.

Major Booker was relieved of his duties, not fired. He had announced his retirement, the week before all this happened.

This whole scenario is a real mess and shame. It is too bad that the Governor, Public Safety Director and the Colonel still have jobs. I hope the people of Ohio remembers this scandal as well as other things that Governor Strickland has managed to do during his tenure in office.

Why don't the leaders in the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction mandate that all inmates who are permitted to work outside the institutions on work detail be supervised only by their staff.

The taxpayers of Ohio should ask why does the Governor favor the inmates who work at the mansion? It is rumored that these individuals are provided with black dress slacks and white dress shirts when working special events at the mansion versus the rest of the inmates in the state who wear clothing with large logo on the back of their shirt showing DRC Inmate in big black letters. This is for the safety of all state employees in each agency and identifies who the visitors are to each office.

One of the major problems with state government is that there are way too many chiefs and not even workers who actually care about what happens and more importantly about safety. Again, I know people who work with the Department of Corrections and this agency hire personnel who supervise the inmates; why don't they supervise the inmates at the Governor's Mansion? This would possibly alleviate any future drug issues.

You need to take a chill pill. Firing someone and moving them to a different position is a big difference. Let me dumby it down for you. Fired means no job, no money coming in to fee the family. Relieved of duty, still employed,.working in a different department. Not playing cards. Duh

Strickland could've turned this around to his advantage if he'd been thinking. You know..I will not allow this to happen in my state, my town, my house...It could've been spun easily in his favor.

Have mercy on the good citizens of Ohio Gov. Strickland and Cathy Collins-Taylor - both of you take a hike and keep walking. The stench of a foul political power play is filling the air with this charade.

Sure have to agree with you on this one Jack. This kind of thing should only happen in texico.

This kind of stuff is making the state of Ohio the laughing stock of even the crooks in Chicago.

CMH Rick - Me thinks the Gov. and Cathy Collins-Taylor both have their respective heads up their respectives arses. To think both these folks could feed this swill to the public is insane.
This state has suffered through the Taft administration of ineptness and now this incompetence from the the Strickland administration.
If this state isn't careful we may well be kiced out of the union and the flag will have one less star.

This entire matter is the result of political priorities overshadowing public need and expectations. The OSHP should be permitted to do their lawfully legislated duties without oversight by political appointees. Further, their funding from the gasoline tax should be restored so they can operate without being held hostage to the follies of entities who have their own agenda apart from that assigned the patrol. When political partisanship becomes a factor in law enforcement administration, the people no longer respect either the enforcers or their political hacks above them.

Dicken is the watergate participant who was shreding documents for the prior administration.(Remember Tom Charles was investigating that.)Then he makes chief then promotes one of the guys who was in contention for the same job. That guy got his college degree because his secretary was doing his work for him!!!

Here goes another comment about Troopers not being real police officers, by someone who has no idea what a Trooper does, but probably tried to get in the academy. Troopers take more drug dealers off of the streets than any other department in the state. Troopers handle domestic situations, assualts, and sexual assualts in their jurisdiction, and back up other agencies on all kinds of calls every night. Most Troopers I know have been to hundreds of bar fights, domestics, and breaking and enterings in progress, etc.... They have served warrants in homes and take hundreds of Felons to jail each year. Troopers also respond to prison uprisings like Lucasville. Troopers have been involved in a multitude of officer involved shootings in the past several years, far more than most departments. They also work the roads by themselves and take drunk drivers and felons off of Ohio's roadways every night. Troopers also are involved in high speed chases,etc...... What an ignoramus you must be, or is it just jealousy. Tell Trooper Gross's family that when he was shot and killed in the line of duty that he wasn't a real peace officer. The deal at the Governor's mansion was a political decision by the Dept. of Public Safety, and not OSHP. Troopers are some of the most aggressive officers you will find.
